If you\u2019re a parent or someone considering these interventions, do NOT listen to the White House\u2019s misleading propaganda. Talk to detransitioners,\u201d Abigail Shrier <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AbigailShrier\/status\/1509611616312037397\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>\u201cThe Biden administration is all but done:\u00a0 We have a President ignorant and vile enough to try to subvert parental rights,\u201d Lou Dobbs <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LouDobbs\/status\/1509548283349372930\"><span>responded<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>\u201cDoes the Biden administration really think they know better than parents?\u201d Rep. Jody Hice <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CongressmanHice\/status\/1509549588688130058\"><span>asked<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>\u201cThis kind of \u2018medical treatment\u2019 renders children sterile,\u201d Bethany Mandel <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bethanyshondark\/status\/1509610539647119360\"><span>tweeted<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>\u201cThe White House coming out in favor of mutilating children is the least surprising news item I\u2019ve seen this presidency,\u201d Scott Morefield <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SKMorefield\/status\/1509564247793188870\"><span>tweeted<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><span>\u201cThis is child abuse,\u201d Rep. Jeff Duncan <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepJeffDuncan\/status\/1509608463764185090\"><span>replied<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>Despite the Biden administration\u2019s claims that \u201c[t]here is no scientifically sound research showing negative impacts from providing gender-affirming care,\u201d <\/span><span>as reported by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/gender\/commentary\/transitioning-procedures-dont-help-mental-health-largest-dataset-shows\"><span>The Heritage Foundation<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cThe largest dataset on sex-reassignment procedures \u2014 both hormonal and surgical \u2014 reveals that such procedures do not bring the promised mental health benefits.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Indeed, in the correction to the study discussed by The Heritage Foundation, patients who had reassignment surgeries had <\/span><i><span>worse <\/span><\/i><span>outcomes regarding anxiety disorders than those who did not:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i><span>\u2026individuals diagnosed with gender incongruence who had received gender-affirming surgery were more likely to be treated for anxiety disorders compared with individuals diagnosed with gender incongruence who had not received gender-affirming surgery.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><i><span>Ian Haworth is a writer for The Daily Wire and contributor to Morning Wire.
