Doug Ducey <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/us-supreme-court-sports-health-arizona-doug-ducey-a580e3231de74c1bb943a68c4aded72c\">signed<\/a> a slew of culture-war-type legislation Wednesday, banning abortions after 15 weeks, transgender surgeries for minors, and biological males from women\u2019s sports.<\/p>\n<p>She also referenced Republican Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/oklahoma-governor-signs-bill-banning-biological-males-from-womens-sports\">signed a bill<\/a> banning biological males from women\u2019s sports on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, four extreme and harmful bills were signed into law in Oklahoma and Arizona, three targeting transgender youth (2 AZ, 1 OK) and one reproductive health care (AZ),\u201d Psaki tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese laws are unacceptable and we won\u2019t stop fighting for justice and equality,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The press secretary notably used the activist phrasing \u201ctargeting transgender youth\u201d to describe the bills banning biological males from women\u2019s sports and banning transgender surgeries for minors, obscuring the meaning of the legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Psaki did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, the White House\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/567452489\/White-House-Gender-Affirming-Care-Young-People-March-2022\">flagged a resource<\/a>\u00a0from the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health on \u201cTransgender Day of Visibility\u201d intended to \u201cinform parents and guardians, educators, and other persons supporting children and adolescents with information on what is gender-affirming care and why it is important to transgender, nonbinary, and other gender expansive young people\u2019s well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That messaging states that \u201cearly\u201d transgender surgeries, hormone treatment, and affirmations are \u201ccrucial\u201d for the health of kids and teens who identify as\u00a0transgender and nonbinary.<\/p>\n<p>Gender-affirming care is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/14\/walt-heyer-lgbtq-transgender\/\">a phrase<\/a> used by transgender activists and media to describe the more grisly sounding transgender top and bottom surgeries, including removing a biological women\u2019s breasts, removing a biological man\u2019s genitals, sculpting a fake penis on a biological woman, facial feminization or facial masculinization, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Social affirmation, puberty blockers, and hormones also fall under the \u201cgender-affirming care\u201d umbrella.<\/p>\n<p>Commentators, lawmakers, people\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2022\/01\/24\/transsexual-slams-planned-parenthood-aclu-womens-sports\/\">who identify as transgender<\/a>, and people who\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/detransitioners-flood-social-media-with-testimony-photos-the-darkest-time-in-my-life\">formerly attempted transitions<\/a>\u00a0have expressed grave concerns about encouraging children or young people to explore transitions of any kind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGender-affirming care is a supportive form of healthcare,\u201d the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health sheet says. \u201cIt consists of an array of services that may include medical, surgical, mental health, and non-medical services for transgender and nonbinary people.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>\u201cFor transgender and nonbinary children and adolescents, early gender-affirming care is crucial to overall health and well-being as it allows the child or adolescent to focus on social transitions and can increase their confidence while navigating the healthcare system,\u201d the White House messaging says.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies for breaking news, investigative reporting, sports, podcasts, in-depth analysis, books, and entertainment for a reason: because we believe in what we do.
