No matter how hard she tries to be <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/15\/kamala-harris-quotes-as-motivational-posters-because-the-time-to-be-inspired-is-every-day\/\">inspirational<\/a>, her public addresses are most often riddled with unintelligible babble. <\/p>\n<p>Just this week, Harris traveled to Jamaica to build Caribbean relations for the administration. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/politics\/story\/2022-03-30\/kamala-harris-daughter-jamaican-immigrant-to-meet-with-islands-prime-minister\">corporate press<\/a> lauded her visit as a full-circle moment for the daughter of a Jamaican immigrant, but any high hopes for a moving moment from the vice president were dashed when Harris bungled her way through a repetitive and nonsensical speech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic. \u2026 We will assist Jamaica in Covid recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential to, I believe, what is necessary to strengthen not only the issue of public health but also the economy,\u201d she rambled.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"S7UEAGNIrY2lofPxvpvKXJpcuMRZPKzqtIB5jCkwtjMXwiAOhOQSye0cLsFDo1qaGf98i12kTmFJhVeE\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">KAMALA HARRIS: &#8220;For Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic\u2026we will assist Jamaica in Covid recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/fmPJFTbKQ6\">pic.twitter.com\/fmPJFTbKQ6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1509341764104118272?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 31, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>At this point, I think it\u2019s safe to say that President Joe Biden, who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2019\/apr\/25\/joe-biden-2020-public-gaffes-mistakes-history\">admitted<\/a> he\u2019s a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/09\/02\/biden-gaffe-machine-running-list-joe-bidens-best-slip-ups\/\">gaffe machine<\/a>,\u201d is more eloquent than Harris. <\/p>\n<p>Our elderly president may have a knack for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mSiJy3kJzPg\">rambling<\/a> incoherently through panels and press conferences, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/08\/heres-the-full-list-of-every-lie-joe-biden-has-told-as-president-142-and-counting\/\">lying through his teeth<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/09\/02\/biden-gaffe-machine-running-list-joe-bidens-best-slip-ups\/\">forgetting important names<\/a>, but none of his awkward speeches compare to the vice president\u2019s amazing ability to make a word salad every time she opens her mouth.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SteveGuest\/status\/1308134517081886720?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1308134517081886720%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefederalist.com%2F2019%2F09%2F02%2Fbiden-gaffe-machine-running-list-joe-bidens-best-slip-ups%2F\">botched the Pledge of Allegiance<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TrumpWarRoom\/status\/1254145382013112320?s=20&#038;t=rEk2b-mF_kyl-OUwn2cKjg\">forgotten which state he was in<\/a>, and even <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EddieZipperer\/status\/1234582741112573952?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1234582741112573952%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthefederalist.com%2F2019%2F09%2F02%2Fbiden-gaffe-machine-running-list-joe-bidens-best-slip-ups%2F\">forgotten the Declaration of Independence<\/a>, but at least he knows better than to start a diatribe about Vladimir Putin with the explanation that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/01\/kamala-explains-it-all-ukraine-is-a-country\/\">Ukraine is a country in Europe<\/a>\u201d that \u201cexists next to another country called Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ever since gaining the spotlight as a young politician, Harris has blundered her way through public appearances but risen as a Democrat star nonetheless. As vice president, she now has a platform for incessant babbling.<\/p>\n<p>For example: \u201cWe have the ability to see what can be unburdened by what has been and then to make the possible actually happen,\u201d Harris said, coming up miserably short when trying to placate Americans plagued with problems exacerbated by her administration, such as rising gas prices and harmful inflation.<\/p>\n<p>Harris\u2019s jumbled, off-script chattering is not only embarrassing but terribly confusing. Maybe her inability to communicate what the heck is going on is the reason why Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/06\/08\/bidens-border-lead-kamala-harris-defends-her-refusal-to-visit-the-southern-border-by-comparing-it-to-europe\/\">didn\u2019t hear from her<\/a> about the southern border crisis for months last year despite her having been appointed border czar.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing the vice president seems consistently able to work into conversations is her infamous cackle, but the corporate media <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/factcheck-kamala-refugees\/fact-check-kamala-harris-did-not-laugh-at-question-about-ukraine-and-refugees-idUSL2N2VI1TY\">\u201cfact-checkers\u201d<\/a> have predictably rushed to her aid to tamp down public blowback when she fails at navigating even softball questions. It isn\u2019t quite working though: Harris is such a disaster, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/kamala_harris_favorableunfavorable-6690.html\">it\u2019s turning most voters off<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Vice presidents are supposed to advise the president, represent the White House at public appearances, and meet with important world leaders, but how can we expect someone so inarticulate to effectively communicate U.S. policy and interests? <\/p>\n<p>In Harris\u2019s own words, \u201cWhen folks vote,\u00a0they order what they want\u00a0\u2014 and in this case, they got what they asked for.\u201d <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
