The southern flood would exacerbate the economic damage already caused by the flood of roughly 1 million legal immigrants and perhaps 400,000 new visa workers.<\/p>\n<p>The media briefing was likely intended to help persuade other officials at the White House and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) \u2013 as well as judges \u2013 to preserve the Title 42 barrier when it expires this week.<\/p>\n<p>The CDC-governed barrier allows Mayorkas to regulate the inflow of cross-border migrants to a level that does not break into the evening news. Mayorkas\u2019 regulated level is about 150,000 per month, including roughly 50,000 migrants who sneak across the border.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>But the alarm signal likely was also intended to mollify Biden\u2019s progressive base of pro-migration, university-trained extremists who say they would prefer to see an open border for migrants \u2014 regardless of the wage-cutting, rent-spiking damage to ordinary Americans:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If the &#8220;worst case scenario&#8221; of 18,000 migrants arriving per day came to pass, that would be 6,570,000 people in a year.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. currently has 11,300,000 job openings. <\/p>\n<p>In other words, welcoming them is not only the humane thing to do, it&#8217;s the economically savvy thing. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4Oj4DspYju\">https:\/\/t.co\/4Oj4DspYju<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tim Young \u1f31 (@Young25Tim) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Young25Tim\/status\/1508941567612100610?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 29, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The predicted flood has been encouraged by Biden\u2019s pro-migration deputies, who immediately ended the border protections established by former-President Donald Trump, reduced the use of the Trump-imposed Title 42 disease-related rejections at the border, and minimized the deportations of illegals.<\/p>\n<p>But Biden\u2019s officials are now alarmed about the public\u2019s reaction to their refusal to defend Americans\u2019 border: \u201cDemocrats do not want the southwest border to appear out of control in the months ahead of the midterm elections, which would fuel more Republican attacks on the Biden administration\u2019s border policies,\u201d the <em>New York Times<\/em> said.<\/p>\n<p>The inflow has \u201crattled some Democrats who worry it may be too soon to return to pre-pandemic immigration rules at the border,\u201d said the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2022\/03\/29\/border-pandemic-title-42-immigration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>In 2014, a rush of migrants at the border wrecked public trust in the border policies set by President Barack Obama. The bad poll numbers derailed Obama\u2019s hopes for a mass amnesty and encouraged a New York TV personality to run for president.<\/p>\n<p>A supercharged repeat of the mass migration in 2022 may help Americans to recognize their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/immigration-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared opposition<\/a> to labor migration. The public opposition is revealed in polls, but it is suppressed by claims by investor-funded progressives that the United States is a \u201cNation of Immigrants.\u201d The opposition is also hidden by the corporate-owned establishment media, which rarely describes the scale of migration or the public\u2019s hostility to labor migration.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In September 2021, Biden\u2019s polls were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/18\/tv-networks-spotlight-border-chaos-and-dhs-changes-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">badly damaged<\/a> by the TV news coverage of the invasion by roughly 30,000 migrants at Del Rio in Texas.<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear if the administration is willing to stop mass migration.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas is a Cuban immigrant and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/24\/dhs-alejandro-mayorkas-builds-escalator-for-asylum-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pro-migration zealot<\/a> who argues that the United States is, and must always, be a \u201cNation of Immigrants.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_18041586\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/09\/GettyImages-1235402100.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas testifies during a hearing to discuss security threats 20 years after the 9\/11 terrorist attacks, on September 21, 2021, at the US Capitol in Washington, DC. (GREG NASH\/POOL\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>He is backed up by progressives who wish to transform the United States from a society governed by European-origin civic culture into a progressive-led empire of competing identity groups. \u201cWe\u2019re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,\u201d a Mayorkas ally, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/21\/opinion\/sway-kara-swisher-ro-khanna.html?showTranscript=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">told<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0on March 21. \u201cIt will be an extraordinary achievement \u2026 we will ultimately triumph,\u201d he insisted.<\/p>\n<p>So Biden\u2019s officials refuse to detain migrants \u2014 even the economic migrants who cut wages for Americans \u2013 as required by federal law. Without detention, migrants do not have to worry about the economic risk of migrating to the United States because they can be sure that they will get a U.S. job to pay off their smuggling debts.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas has also announced he will not deport illegal migrants, even when they drive down Americans\u2019 wages and push up their housing prices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven if the administration briefly keeps some limited version of Title 42 in place for political reasons, almost everything else it\u2019s doing is sending the signal to prospective\u00a0illegal immigrants\u00a0to come on down,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/29\/lifting-title-42-could-cause-a-mass-migration-event-at-the-border\/?utm_source=twitter_sitebuttons&#038;utm_medium=site%20buttons&#038;utm_campaign=site%20buttons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">warned<\/a> Mark Krikorian, the director of the Center for Immigration Studies.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas\u2019 easy migration policy is encouraging mass migration from many countries around the world. As more people from Africa and Asia get into the United States, they use their cellphones to show their success to their homeland friends and neighbors, so encouraging more migrants.<\/p>\n<p>A 2012 survey by Gallup showed that more than <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/153992\/150-Million-Adults-Worldwide-Migrate.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">150 million people<\/a> around the world want to migrate to the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Post<\/em> reported:<\/p>\n<div class=\"\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"font-copy font--article-body gray-darkest ma-0 pb-md\">\u201cThe nature and scope of migration has changed fundamentally,\u201d said one DHS official, who briefed reporters and spoke on the condition of anonymity under rules set by the department.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"font-copy font--article-body gray-darkest ma-0 pb-md\">The official said an \u201cunprecedented\u201d 40 percent of the migrants being taken into custody are arriving from countries outside Mexico and the Northern Triangle of Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador that have traditionally been the largest sources for migration.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>The <em>New York Times<\/em> noted that officials are refusing to send some migrants home, so they are encouraging more people to head north:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>But the United States cannot put Cubans, Venezuelans or Nicaraguans on flights back to their countries because of a lack of diplomatic relations. One of the homeland security officials speaking on background on Tuesday called the situation \u201cproblematic,\u201d and said they were most likely fleeing oppressive governments.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The pro-migration editors at the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em> ignored the likely impact of a migrant flood on Americans\u2019 workplaces, homes, and schools, saying only \u2018The stakes are high, from both a humanitarian standpoint and a political one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But the elite-backed flood of migrant labor \u2014 and renters \u2014 has impoverished millions of less-education Americans. CNBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/03\/30\/1-in-5-american-workers-runs-out-of-money-before-payday-survey-finds-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>\u00a0on March 30:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Roughly 20% of employees regularly run out of money between paychecks, up from 15% last year, according to the survey of more than 3,000 working adults in February.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, about one-quarter of those polled said it\u2019s harder to afford necessary expenses and one-third are unable to build\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/savings\/\">savings<\/a>, issues that are particularly problematic for low-to-moderate income workers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Similarly, the Oxfam anti-poverty group <a href=\"https:\/\/webassets.oxfamamerica.org\/media\/documents\/low_wage_report_2022_final.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>as of 2022, more than 31.9 percent of the US labor force, or 51.9 million workers, currently make less than $15 per hour, and many are stuck at the federal minimum wage, which is less than half of that hourly rate. If Congress were to enact legislation changing the hourly minimum wage and who qualifies\u2014making the law more equitable and inclusive\u2014millions of workers would be lifted from poverty.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"attachment_20452547\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Chart-1-Neil-Article.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-20452547 size-full\" title=\"OxFam\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Chart-1-Neil-Article.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"716\" height=\"557\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Oxfam<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Since at least 1990, the D.C. establishment has used a wide variety of excuses and explanations \u2014 for example, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/nation-of-immigrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nation of Immigrants<\/a>\u201d \u2014 to justify its policy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/extraction-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extracting<\/a> tens of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2022\/02\/23\/report-u-s-immigrant-population-hits-record-46-6-million\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">millions<\/a>\u00a0of migrants\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/24\/bidens-border-agency-worries-about-tinder-swindler-amid-migration-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">visa workers<\/a>\u00a0from poor countries to serve as workers, consumers, and renters for various U.S. investors and CEOs.<\/p>\n<p>The self-serving\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economic<\/a>\u00a0strategy of extraction migration has\u00a0no\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/20\/gop-donors-economist-immigration-can-offset-foreign-trade-risks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stopping<\/a>\u00a0point. It is harmful to ordinary Americans because it cuts their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/12\/bloomberg-opts-h1bs-take-two-three-new-tech-jobs-each-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">career<\/a>\u00a0opportunities, shrinks their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/04\/08\/elite-academics-hide-amnesty-wage-pain-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">salaries and wages<\/a>, raises their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/16\/new-yorks-mayoral-rivals-vow-cheap-housing-plus-more-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">housing<\/a>\u00a0costs, and has shoved at least\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/15\/d-c-s-economic-policy-sidelines-almost-20-million-american-men\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">10 million American men<\/a>\u00a0out of the labor force.<\/p>\n<p>Extraction migration also curbs Americans\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/11\/president-trump-wins-big-on-secret-meatpacking-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">productivity<\/a>, reduces their political\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&#038;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS946US946&#038;oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&#038;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10228j0j4&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">clout<\/a>, undermines U.S.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/04\/joe-biden-delivers-flood-of-cheap-migrant-labor-to-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workplace<\/a>\u00a0rights, and widens the regional wealth\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/13\/zuckerbergs-data-says-amnesty-gives-economic-windfall-coastal-democratic-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaps<\/a>\u00a0between the Democrats\u2019 coastal states and the Republicans\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/01\/10\/former-steeltown-seeks-afghans-to-replace-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heartland<\/a>\u00a0states.<\/p>\n<p>An economy built on extraction migration also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/survey-elite-imposed-migration-is-transforming-national-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radicalizes<\/a>\u00a0Americans\u2019 democratic, compromise-promoting civic\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/search\/?s=%22white+supremacy%22#gsc.tab=0&#038;gsc.q=%22white%20supremacy%22&#038;gsc.page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture<\/a>\u00a0because it allows wealthy elites to ignore <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diseases_of_despair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">despairing<\/a> Americans\u00a0at the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JorgeAl49986803\/status\/1439791277571145737?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">bottom<\/a>\u00a0of society.<\/p>\n<p>The economic strategy also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/01\/dhs-mayorkas-welcomes-illegal-migrant-survivor-boat-disaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kills<\/a>\u00a0many migrants,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/04\/13\/joe-bidens-half-open-border-splits-tens-of-thousands-of-families\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">splits<\/a>\u00a0foreign families, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/01\/10\/critics-joe-biden-is-restarting-hunger-games-migration-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extracts<\/a> wealth from\u00a0the poor home countries.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprisingly, the wealth-shifting extraction migration policy is very unpopular, according to\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/03\/30\/harvard-harris-poll-5-in-6-americans-want-to-end-immigration-from-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wide<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/01\/14\/poll-americans-want-companies-hire-americans-before-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">variety<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/04\/13\/ipsos-poll-nearly-8-in-10-americans-want-immigration-moratorium-for-u-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">polls<\/a>. The polls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2019\/08\/05\/poll-swing-voters-hugely-oppose-2020-democrats-promising-more-immigration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">show<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2020\/04\/24\/poll-trumps-opponents-applaud-his-jobs-for-americans-immigration-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deep<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2017\/01\/31\/poll-shows-public-support-trump-migration-poicy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">broad<\/a> public <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/05\/28\/business-poll-backfires-shows-public-wants-less-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opposition<\/a> to\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener\">temporary<\/a>\u00a0contract workers\u00a0into jobs sought by young U.S. graduates.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/05\/survey-americans-underestimate-quiet-public-opposition-to-legal-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">opposition<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/16\/pro-migration-groups-accelerate-hate-campaign-against-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\"
