The press\u2019s sudden willingness to reveal already-reported details about the Biden family is no proper apology. <\/p>\n<p>Only now, more than one year into Biden\u2019s presidency, are the same publications that ran articles <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/outlook\/2020\/10\/24\/hunter-biden-laptop-disinformation\/\">arguing<\/a> that \u201cwe must treat the Hunter Biden leaks as if they were a foreign intelligence operation \u2014 even if they probably aren\u2019t\u201d willing to report that thousands of emails and other documents left behind by the president\u2019s son are legitimate and that some of the documents and communications on the Mac <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/30\/hunter-biden-china-laptop\/\">\u201cillustrate the ways in which his family profited from relationships built over Joe Biden\u2019s decades in public service.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Documents and communications uncovered on Hunter\u2019s laptop in 2020 indicated that the president\u2019s son used his dad\u2019s political power to leverage deals with oligarchs in Ukraine and China, and possibly even gave a cut of his foreign business dealings to Joe Biden, who is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-china-email-source-verifies\">indicated by<\/a> a reference to \u201cthe big guy\u201d in a key cash and equity deal. Even before the laptop was discovered, Republican Sens. Ron Johnson and Chuck Grassley <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/media\/majority-media\/johnson-grassley-release-report-on-conflicts-of-interest-investigation\">warned<\/a> that Hunter\u2019s shady business dealings could be potentially compromising for the then-Democratic presidential nominee.<\/p>\n<p>One month before the 2020 election, however, the Democrats, corporate media, and Big Tech actively worked to conceal the damning story from the public and discredit and suppress any outlets that did report on it. <\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the New York Post reported on the laptop, Politico rushed to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000175-4393-d7aa-af77-579f9b330000\">publish a letter<\/a>\u00a0signed by dozens of former intelligence heads from the CIA, Department of Defense, National Security Agency, and more smearing the laptop story as \u201cRussian disinformation.\u201d These so-called \u201cexperts\u201d admitted that they had never seen the laptop nor that they had any evidence to suggest that their \u201cRussia, Russia, Russia\u201d theory was accurate, but the letter quickly became the basis for the left to wage a censorship war on anyone and everyone who amplified the Hunter corruption narrative.<\/p>\n<p>Even when current intelligence leaders confirmed that there was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/10\/21\/fbi-doj-debunk-claims-the-hunter-biden-laptop-story-is-russian-disinformation\/\">never any evidence<\/a>\u00a0that the Hunter laptop story was disinformation, Democrats and the media kept spreading the lie that the laptop was somehow not worth reporting on. <\/p>\n<p>Despite a forensic analysis by a security researcher and former National Security Agency operative confirming what other outlets reported about the laptop nearly two years ago, WaPo still won\u2019t admit that the Russian disinformation smear used by the retired intelligence community, corporate media, and Big Tech to justify throttling legitimate reporting on the Biden family business is completely false.  <\/p>\n<p>As a matter of fact, the publication goes out of its way to justify the argument used to intentionally\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/click1.trk-washingtonexaminer.com\/lnmkzlfjgghrqhzgrdfjdrfcpjrldwywpsjphfdqhjqkn_ysklfvlmmcbnsgfbkqmgkk.html?a=Byron+York%27s+Daily+Memo+%2803172022%29&#038;b=03%2F17%2F2022&#038;c=WEX+-+Alerts+-+York&#038;d=24920087&#038;e=da8b073deb612779100a009a95c0b66d7ec6011dc8dc665d17aa25ab57789674\">downplay<\/a>\u00a0the findings on the laptop and mischaracterize them to save the elder Biden from criticism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHackers sometimes create fake email accounts or gain access to authentic ones as part of disinformation campaigns \u2014 a possibility that cannot be ruled out with regard to the email files on Biden\u2019s laptop,\u201d WaPo noted shortly after claiming that \u201cThe Washington Post\u2019s forensic findings are unlikely to resolve [the disinformation] debate, offering instead only the limited revelation that some of the data on the portable drive appears to be authentic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times and Washington Post are way too late to the game and do not deserve any praise for their perfunctory disclosure.<\/p>\n<p>The corporate media spent months concealing important information from the public based on a phony accusation. The press may admit that Hunter\u2019s laptop is legit, but don\u2019t mistake their inch for a mile. The same people who knowingly bought into and spread the Russia collusion hoax colluded to deplatform and discredit their political and ideological enemies in the run-up to a highly-contested election.\u00a0Only now, nearly two years later, have they begrudgingly confessed part of the truth.
