They want to pretend they haven\u2019t spent the last decade undermining America\u2019s energy independence while they continue to build up China\u2019s economy. You\u2019d think a company that has made it their mission to enforce ESG standards on American businesses would apply those same standards to foreign investments, but BlackRock isn\u2019t pushing its woke agenda on China or Russia. America\u2019s consumers know a liar when they see one and Consumers\u2019 Research isn\u2019t going to let them get away with it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Rep. Mike Waltz (@michaelgwaltz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/michaelgwaltz\/status\/1508547952939347980?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 28, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In an annual letter to chief executives, BlackRock CEO Fink <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/12\/17\/carney-larry-finks-blackrock-doubles-down-on-woke-capitalism\/\">wrote<\/a>,\u00a0\u201cclimate change has become a defining factor in companies\u2019 long-term prospects \u2026 But awareness is rapidly changing, and I believe we are on the edge of a fundamental reshaping of finance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then in a \u201cstewardship expectations\u201d report, BlackRock said it would pressure companies to disclose the racial, ethnic, and gender makeup of their employees, and ensure they are taking measures to advance \u201cdiversity, equity, and inclusion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are raising our expectations, in the context of regional norms, on board and workforce ethnic and gender diversity,\u201d Blackrock said.<\/p>\n<p>As part of its climate change activism, BlackRock <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/exclusive-blackrock-backs-three-director-nominees-challenging-exxons-board-2021-05-25\/\">pushed <\/a>to have three climate change activists on the Exxon board to force the company to adopt radical changes to its climate change policies.<\/p>\n<p>BlackRock is a major owner of PetroChina, a subsidiary of the state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2021\/03\/managing-your-money-the-woke-way\/\">ignoring <\/a>its ties to alleged Chinese human rights abuses and corruption.
