Matt Gaetz (R-FL) on Tuesday introduced a resolution to strip security clearances from intelligence officials who misled the public about the authenticity of Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop.<\/p>\n<p>After the \u201claptop from hell\u201d story broke before the 2020 election, 51 intel officials signed a letter that insinuated Hunter\u2019s laptop was Russian disinformation. The letter was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/10\/19\/hunter-biden-story-russian-disinfo-430276\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">peddled<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<em>Politico<\/em>\u00a0under the title, \u201cHunter Biden story is Russian disinfo, dozens of former intel officials say.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Most establishment media organizations then <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/the-media\/2022\/03\/18\/media-fail-retract-russian-disinformation-claim-hunters-laptop\/\">used<\/a> the <em>Politico<\/em> article to discount the revelations from Hunter\u2019s laptop, such as those about corruption that allegedly involve now-President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMore than 50 former senior intelligence officials have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000175-4393-d7aa-af77-579f9b330000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed on to a letter<\/a>\u00a0outlining their belief that the recent disclosure of emails allegedly belonging to Joe Biden\u2019s son \u2018has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation,\u2019\u201d the article read in support of the Biden Crime Family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text__paragraph\">But the <em>New York Times<\/em> in March 2022 authenticated the laptop,\u00a0which had been authenticated in 2020 by the <em>New York Post\u2019s<\/em> Emma-Jo Morris, who is now Breitbart News\u2019s political editor, and Gaetz is <a href=\"https:\/\/gaetz.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/congressman-matt-gaetz-introduces-resolution-strip-security-clearances-intel\">seeking<\/a> to remove the security clearance privileges of the 51 intel officers who co-wrote their own disinformation letter to protect the Biden Crime Family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-text__paragraph\">These are the 51 intel officers, who sometimes double as CNN and MSNBC media analysts:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li>Jim Clapper<\/li>\n<li>Mike Hayden<\/li>\n<li>Leon Panetta<\/li>\n<li>John Brennan<\/li>\n<li>Thomas Finger<\/li>\n<li>Rick Ledgett<\/li>\n<li>John McLaughlin<\/li>\n<li>Michael Morell<\/li>\n<li>Mike Vickers<\/li>\n<li>Doug Wise<\/li>\n<li>Nick Rasmussen<\/li>\n<li>Russ Travers<\/li>\n<li>Andy Liepman<\/li>\n<li>John Moseman<\/li>\n<li>Larry Pfeiffer<\/li>\n<li>Jeremy Bash<\/li>\n<li>Rodney Snyder<\/li>\n<li>Glenn Gerstell<\/li>\n<li>David B. Vanell<\/li>\n<li>Winston Wiley<\/li>\n<li>Kristin Wood<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Gaetz is also reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TonyaJoRiley\/status\/1508832435559182342\">seeking<\/a> to enter Hunter\u2019s laptop into the congressional record. Democrats will likely resist that effort. Yet if the laptop was made apart of the congressional record, it seems likely the contents of the laptop would be made publicly available.<\/p>\n<p>There are reportedly only two copies of Hunter\u2019s hard drive.
