Matt Gaetz pressed the assistant director of the FBI Cyber Program on Tuesday about the whereabouts of Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop and whether the laptop could leave the U.S., in a vulnerable position against adversaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo where is it? The laptop,\u201d Gaetz asked Bryan Vorndran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSir, I\u2019m not here to talk about the laptop, I\u2019m here to talk about the FBI Cyber Program.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re the assistant director of FBI Cyber, I want to know where Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop is. Where is it?\u201d Gaetz pressed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know that answer,\u201d Vorndran said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is astonishing to me. Has FBI cyber assessed whether or not Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop could be a point of vulnerability, allowing America\u2019s enemies to hurt our country?\u201d Gaetz asked.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Where Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop? The FBI has no clue!<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcfa <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepMattGaetz?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepMattGaetz<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B1EmBkrwMp\">pic.twitter.com\/B1EmBkrwMp<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Judiciary GOP (@JudiciaryGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1508833665245188100?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 29, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gaetz then noted how <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/11\/02\/hunter-biden-laptop-rudy-giuliani\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hunter Biden\u2019s password<\/a> was easily hackable and asked whether the FBI knew where the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/17\/new-york-post-editorial-board-times-hunter-biden-laptop-confirm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">laptop<\/a> is. Vorndran said it was an accurate statement from Gaetz that the FBI does not know the whereabouts of the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/21\/love-narrative-joe-rogan-media-hunter-biden-laptop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">computer<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/24\/patel-broken-country-laptop-joe-hunter-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: PATEL: A Broken Country Buries A Broken Laptop)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vorndran said it was not \u201cin the purview\u201d of his responsibilities. Gaetz asked whether there was concern that the first family could be compromised given Hunter Biden\u2019s business dealings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t have any information about the Hunter Biden laptop or the investigation,\u201d Vorndran said as Gaetz continued to press him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut should you? I mean, you\u2019re the assistant director of FBI cyber,\u201d Gaetz shot back. \u201cWho should we put in that chair to ask questions about this laptop that FBI has had for three years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you don\u2019t have it, you don\u2019t know who has it, you\u2019re the assistant director\u2026do you even know who has [the laptop]?\u201d Gaetz again asked.<\/p>\n<p>Vorndran once again said he is unaware of who has the laptop.<\/p>\n<p>Gaetz also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepMattGaetz\/status\/1508845184246849539?s=20&#038;t=9HyrlQGmykZgR4q68ySWhA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a> Tuesday he added the hard drive into the Congressional Record.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Florida Rep.
