Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) claims some of his fellow members of Congress have invited him to orgies in Washington \u2014 and snorted cocaine right in front of him, according to new reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sexual perversion that goes on in Washington. I mean, being kind of a young guy in Washington, where the average age is probably 60 or 70 \u2014 [you] look at all these people, a lot of them that I\u2019ve looked up to through my life, I\u2019ve always paid attention to politics,\u201d Cawthorn said in an interview on Thursday, the New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/28\/madison-cawthorn-says-dc-is-orgy-filled-cocaine-fueled\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen all of a sudden you get invited: \u2018We\u2019re going to have a sexual get-together at one of our homes, you should come.\u2019 \u2018What did you just ask me to come to?\u2019 And then you realize they\u2019re asking you to come to an orgy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Cawthorn, 26, also said he has seen leading national anti-addiction officials do cocaine. \u201cSome of the people leading on the movement to try and remove addiction in our country, and then you watch them do a key bump of cocaine right in front of you,\u201d Cawthorn said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s like, this is wild.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with John Lovell on the \u201cWarrior Poet Society\u201d podcast last week, Cawthorn was asked if Washington resembles the former Netflix series \u201cHouse of Cards,\u201d which showed rampant corruption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI heard a former president that we had in the \u201990s was asked a question about this,\u201d Cawthorn said. \u201cAnd he gave an answer that I thought was so true. He said that the only thing not accurate in that show\u2014that you could never get a piece of legislation about education passed that quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCawthorn appears to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/the-fix\/wp\/2015\/03\/31\/bill-clinton-said-house-of-cards-is-99-percent-realistic-here-are-eight-plot-twist-that-prove-hes-wrong\/\">quoting<\/a>\u00a0from a 2015\u00a0Gotham magazine\u00a0interview with\u00a0Kevin Spacey\u00a0in which Spacey, the star of\u00a0House of Cards,\u00a0said\u00a0Bill Clinton told him \u201999 percent of what you do on that show is real.\u2019 The 1 percent that he got wrong? \u2018[Y]ou could never get an education bill passed that fast,&#8217;\u201d Mediaite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/politics\/madison-cawthorn-claims-he-was-invited-to-a-washington-orgy-has-seen-leaders-doing-cocaine\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cawthorn was in the news earlier this month when he was charged with driving with a revoked license. The charge, a misdemeanor, carries up to 20 days in jail.<\/p>\n<p>Police pulled him over in Cleveland County, North Carolina, on March 3, according to a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizen-times.com\/story\/news\/2022\/03\/09\/nc-rep-madison-cawthorn-charged-driving-revoked-license-court\/9439056002\/?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot\">report<\/a> from the Asheville Citizen Times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe driver was identified as David Madison Cawthorn, 26 years old of Hendersonville, N.C.,\u201d said Highway Patrol spokesperson Sgt. Marcus Bethea, adding, \u201cDuring the course of the investigation it was determined that the driver\u2019s license was in a state of revocation and he was subsequently charged with driving while license revoked.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCawthorn uses a wheelchair after being seriously injured in a 2014 car accident in Florida,\u201d Citizen Times\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizen-times.com\/story\/news\/2022\/03\/09\/nc-rep-madison-cawthorn-charged-driving-revoked-license-court\/9439056002\/?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot\">noted<\/a>. \u201cA friend who was driving fell asleep while Cawthorn slept in the passenger seat, according to his 2019 federal court filing against the insurance company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Joseph Curl has covered politics for 35 years, including 12 years as White House correspondent, and ran the Drudge Report from 2010 to 2015.
