Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.<\/a>, is the latest to join the chorus of House Democrats calling for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/politics\/judiciary\/supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a> Justice Clarence Thomas to step down or be impeached.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">Democrats have been criticizing Thomas for not recusing himself from cases related to the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, after it was revealed that his wife sent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/ginni-thomas-clarence-wife-mark-meadows-texts-2020-election-overturn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>text messages<\/u><\/a> to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows urging him to challenge <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Donald Trump<\/u><\/a>&#8216;s 2020 election loss.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/senate-democrats-push-clarence-thomas-to-recuse-himself-from-jan-6-cases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SENATE DEMOCRATS PUSH CLARENCE THOMAS TO RECUSE HIMSELF FROM JAN. 6 CASES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Clarence Thomas should resign,&#8221; Ocasio-Cortez tweeted Tuesday morning. &#8220;If not, his failure to disclose income from right-wing organizations, recuse himself from matters involving his wife, and his vote to block the Jan 6th commission from key information must be investigated and could serve as grounds for impeachment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/640\/320\/aoc-.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"Rep. Veronica Escobar, D-Texas, Hank Johnson, D-Ga., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Nydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., in calling for Thomas to leave the bench or face impeachment proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>House and Senate Democrats on Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warren.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/2022.3.29%20Letter%20to%20Roberts%20and%20Thomas%20on%20SCOTUS%20Ethics.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sent a letter<\/a> to Thomas and Chief Justice John Roberts regarding &#8220;alarming new reports about Justice Thomas\u2019s potential conflicts of interest&#8221; related to his wife. If you spent any time studying the Supreme Court justice, he\u2019s one who studies correctly, and I mean, from all the way through.
