Britain\u2019s socialised healthcare service is to find that over 300 babies died unnecessarily thanks to quotas and an obsession with \u201cnatural births\u201d at the expense of medical intervention where required.<\/p>\n<p>The independent investigation looked into the experiences of 1,500 families who received medical treatment at the\u00a0Shrewsbury and Telford hospital trust between 2000 and 2019, concluding that a number of factors resulted in many of them receiving unnecessarily poor and even deadly \u2018care\u2019.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/fatal-nhs-obsession-with-natural-births-nxdsvxn5v\">report<\/a> by\u00a0<em>The Times<\/em>, at least twelve mothers died within the unit while trying to give birth, while 300 babies were found to have died unnecessarily.<\/p>\n<p>These deaths were reportedly the result of a fixation on \u201cnormal births\u201d, which the publication claims was fueled by targets set by the NHS which aimed to keep the number of caesarean sections performed in hospitals low.<\/p>\n<p>This in turn was reportedly driven by an edict from the World Health Organisation, which in 1985 declared that countries should endeavour to keep their c-section births at levels below 10 to 15 per cent, an instruction the international group reportedly later rolled back.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The report is slated to say,\u00a0<em>The Times<\/em> claims, that the fixation led to a number of women being forced to give birth naturally \u2014 with some even being given drugs to induce labour \u2014 when a c-section would have likely been a better course of medical care.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the findings,\u00a0Donna Ockenden \u2014 an experienced midwife who headed up the independent inquiry \u2014 said that multiple opportunities to detect and tackle the problem were missed, leading women to be forced into suffering traumatic births.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were numerous opportunities for the system to wake up and realise that there was a problem at this trust,\u201d Ockenden said, reportedly \u201cshocked and saddened\u201d by her findings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been a number of occasions where families tried to be heard over many years and were silenced or ignored,\u201d she continued. \u201cWe have seen families that have been split apart, families where relationships have been broken, cases of trauma and PTSD that have persisted for years after the event as well as terrible, terrible sadness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt times, after meeting families, I went back to my hotel room and I cried,\u201d she also said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote standards of care within our maternity services including the way in which we dealt with the incidents subsequently, and in the manner in which we communicated and engaged with those involved,\u201d said one spokesman for the trust.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe offer our sincere apologies for all the distress and hurt we know this caused,\u201d they continued.<\/p>\n<p>While the example of\u00a0Shrewsbury and Telford hospital trust is particularly stark, this is far from the first time the UK\u2019s socialised healthcare service has been found to have acted in an improper manner.<\/p>\n<p>For example, one hospital run by the health service reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/03\/18\/there-was-no-male-in-the-hospital-uk-hospital-covered-up-rape-by-trans-patient\/\">covered up<\/a> a rape by a trans person in one of their wards, claiming that \u201cthe rape could not have happened\u201d as \u201cthere was no male in the hospital\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has taken nearly a year for the hospital to agree that there was a male on the ward and, yes, this rape happened,\u201d the British House of Lords was told by\u00a0Baroness Emma Nicholson regarding the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring that year she has almost come to the edge of a nervous breakdown because being disbelieved about being raped in hospital has been such an appalling shock,\u201d Nicholson continued. \u201cThe hospital, with all its CCTV, has had to admit that the rape happened and that it was committed by a man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, despite this incident, along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/01\/11\/nhs-denied-woman-with-down-syndrome-life-saving-coronavirus-treatment-report\/\">many<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/02\/13\/nurses-fired-for-questioning-nhs-transgender-polices-parliament-told\/\">others<\/a>, the UK\u2019s NHS has developed a sort of cultic status in the United Kingdom, with politicians even attacking people online who dare criticise it.\u00a0\u201cHow about you show some respect for the NHS,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sajidjavid\/status\/1460716716951056395?lang=en\">demanded<\/a> Health Secretary Sajid Javid when one individual complained regarding the selection of vaccines available
