Ted Budd (R-NC), endorsed by former President Trump, is leading among his opponents in the Republican Senate primary race, a new poll finds.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncvalues.org\/poll_ncgop_voters_failing_to_focus_on_critical_primary_races\">poll<\/a>, conducted March 22-23, came just days after Budd gave an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/20\/trump-endorsed-rep-ted-budd-sanctuary-cities-incentivize-dangerous-drugs-human-trafficking\/\">exclusive interview<\/a> to Breitbart News on SiriusXM Patriot, where he detailed his recent trip to the United States-Mexico border and described the human and drug trafficking taking place by the Mexican drug cartels.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Budd leads likely GOP voters with 32 percent, followed by former North Carolina Gov.\u00a0Pat McCrory with 29 percent, and former Rep. Mark Walker (R-NC) with 12 percent, according to the Vitales &#038; Associates poll.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Compared to prior polling, Budd has gained three points against his opponents. Budd is set to take the stage alongside Trump at a rally in North Carolina next month.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/18\/exclusive-angel-parents-meet-with-house-republicans-on-countering-democrats-unfettered-immigration\/\">exclusively reported<\/a>, Budd\u00a0recently met with Angel Families who lost their children to illegal alien crime to discuss a rigorous GOP agenda on immigration.<\/p>\n<p>Budd touted his \u201cJustice for Victims of Sanctuary Cities Act,\u201d which won an endorsement from Trump in his final State of the Union address, which\u00a0would create a private right for Angel Families to sue sanctuary jurisdictions for compensatory damages in civil court.<\/p>\n<p>The North Carolina GOP Senate primary takes place on May 17.
