(Photo by Anna Moneymaker\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Republicans criticized Jackson\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/22\/ketanji-brown-jackson-child-pornography-sentencing-supreme-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sentencing<\/a>\u00a0in child pornography cases Tuesday, arguing that she had been too lenient to sex offenders. Jackson said \u201cnothing could be further from the truth,\u201d and that a judge must consider various aspects of an offense and consider the victim\u2019s perspective.\u00a0<strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Sen. Manchin Says He Will Support Judge Jackson)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jackson also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/22\/pick-clients-judge-jackson-defends-representing-guantanamo-bay-detainees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">defended<\/a> her time representing Guantanamo Bay detainees, saying \u201cfederal public defenders don\u2019t get to pick their clients.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe volunteered to continue that representation in private practice, which I think is interesting,\u201d Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri said at the hearing. \u201cAnd frankly, from my point of view, a little concerning.
