The report made headlines at the time as Musk questioned the accuracy of various COVID-19 tests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAm getting wildly different results from different labs, but most likely I have a moderate case of covid. The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/elon-musk-reveals-what-type-of-social-media-platform-he-is-giving-serious-thought-to-creating\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Musk, who is the co-founder of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, made the remarks in response to a tweet that asked, \u201cWould you consider building a new social media platform, @elonmusk?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cOne that would consist an open source algorithm, one where free speech and adhering to free speech is given top priority, one where propaganda is very minimal,\u201d the tweet continued. \u201cI think that kind of a platform is needed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Musk responded, \u201cAm giving serious thought to this.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The report also noted that Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/doesnt-sound-very-balanced-elon-musk-hints-he-may-launch-new-platform-to-take-on-twitter\">conducted<\/a> an informal poll on Twitter, which stated: \u201cFree speech is essential to a functioning democracy.
