Aidala also said that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg\u2019s office was overcharging Pazienza with manslaughter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe D.A. goes out of their way to undercharge a case, and in this particular case they\u2019re overcharging,\u201d Aidala reportedly said in court last week.<\/p>\n<p>Bragg is notorious for undercharging cases, a fact highlighted by the widow of a slain police officer during her husband\u2019s funeral, The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/widow-of-slain-police-officer-earns-standing-ovation-as-she-torches-soft-on-crime-da-i-hope-he-is-watching-you-speak-through-me\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou have the whole nation on gridlock. And although you won\u2019t be here anymore, I want you to live through me. The system continues to fail us. We are not safe anymore, not even the members of the service [NYPD]. I know you were tired of these laws, especially the ones from the new DA. I hope he is watching you speak through me,\u201d said Dominique Luzuriaga, wife of slain New York Police Department officer Jason Rivera.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Post <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/23\/who-is-lauren-pazienza-accused-of-fatally-shoving-barbara-gustern-in-nyc\/\">reported<\/a> that Pazienza is the daughter of Daniel Pazienza, runs a top cesspool company in Long Island that, according to its website, has operated for \u201cover 3 generations.\u201d The outlet noted that Daniel and his wife Caroline \u201cfrequently traveled, vacationing in Aruba, Paris, France, and at a four-star hotel in Key Largo, Florida, over the years, according to photos on Facebook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The outlet suggested Pazienza was a \u201csocialite\u201d who attended events and parties such as New York society magazine Avenue\u2019s 40th-anniversary party in 2015. She also reportedly attended art gallery openings and exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>As The Daily Wire previously\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/woman-who-allegedly-shoved-broadway-singing-coach-before-her-death-watched-ambulance-and-hid-before-turning-herself-in-authorities-say\">reported<\/a>, Pazienza turned herself in to police on Tuesday, 12 days after the unprovoked attack that left Gustern with a head injury that resulted in her death on March 16. Gustern was a famed vocal coach who trained Broadway stars and famed musicians such as Blondie singer Debbie Harry.<\/p>\n<p>Pazienza was charged with manslaughter and was behind bars as of Wednesday, Inside Edition\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insideedition.com\/what-lauren-pazienza-allegedly-did-disturbing-timeline-emerges-after-arrest-made-in-voice-coachs\">reported<\/a>.
