Darrell Issa (R-CA) weighed in on\u00a0House Republicans vowing to investigate Hunter Biden, son of\u00a0President Joe Biden, over his laptop scandal after the midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>Issa asserted that \u201cthere was clearly a conspiracy\u201d to cover up the Biden family\u2019s financial dealings and suggested there was \u201cthis kind of coordinated effort just before an election\u201d to affect the election.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201c[B]ecause this involves so many companies such as Facebook, Twitter and so on, they took down the New York Post, there was clearly a conspiracy to, if you will, cover up the wrong-doing of the president and his family just before an election that he had to win and did win. So, the investigation is clearly warranted, not just because Hunter Biden seems to be a petty criminal taking advantage of his father\u2019s money and perhaps sharing money with his father \u2014 it\u2019s because if we have this kind of coordinated effort just before an election, what we have is American collusion to affect the output of an election. That can\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He continued, \u201cWe\u2019ve got to make sure that our press is free and fair. And right now, when it comes to new media, free and fair doesn\u2019t exist. And when it comes to one of the oldest newspapers in America, the New York Post was founded in 1801, they were suppressed, and that\u2019s something that every American should be concerned about.
