Johnston asserted that the argument did not have merit. He did grant bail after finding other errors in the judgement of Bourgeois, however.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Freedom Convoy Organiser Tamara Lich Denied Bail By Canadian Judge<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/n4oVrYWXr0\">https:\/\/t.co\/n4oVrYWXr0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1496424600195977216?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 23, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The new charges against the organisers are just some of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/02\/21\/police-lay-391-charges-on-191-freedom-convoy-protesters-in-ottawa-crackdown\/\">nearly 400 charges<\/a> against 191 Freedom Convoy protesters that were laid in late February following the crackdown and dispersal of protestors from Ottawa after three weeks of protests against Wuhan virus restrictions, vaccine mandates, and vaccine passports.<\/p>\n<p>The protests were ended after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/02\/14\/justin-trudeau-grabs-powers-under-never-before-used-emergencies-act-to-stomp-out-trucker-protests\/\">invoked the Emergencies Act<\/a> for the first time in Canadian history and forced tow truck operators to remove trucks from the area around the Canadian parliament.<\/p>\n<p>Many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/08\/ottawa-city-official-contracted-tow-trucks-refuse-to-remove-freedom-convoy\/\">had refused<\/a> such requests prior to this order.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier this week, during a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels, Prime Minister Trudeau was slammed by several Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), including the Alternative for Germany (AfD) MEP\u00a0Christine Anderson, who confronted Trudeau directly in the chamber.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[I]t would have been more appropriate for Mr Trudeau \u2014 Prime Minister of Canada \u2014 to address this house according to article 144.
