Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Mitt Romney (R-UT) have remained silent on\u00a0Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson\u2019s role on the Board of Trustees of Georgetown Day School \u2014 the private Pre K\u201312 school that promotes critical race theory, left-wing activism, and adult sexual content for students.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson, who is currently being considered to fill retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer\u2019s seat, sits on the board of the Washington, D.C., private school. As Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) noted in his statements at Jackson\u2019s confirmation hearings, the school <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/23\/pre-k-12-school-where-judge-jackson-sits-on-board-pushes-cultural-marxism-on-kids\/\">steers students<\/a> toward\u00a0social justice causes and critical race theory, among other components of left-wing activism.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know. I don\u2019t think so,\u201d Jackson said when asked by Cruz if critical race theory was taught and practiced in classrooms at Georgetown Day School. \u201cI believe it\u2019s an academic theory that\u2019s at the law school level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe board is not, the board does not control the curriculum, the board does not focus on that, that\u2019s not what we do as board members so I\u2019m actually not sure,\u201d Jackson claimed.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/24\/school-board-of-trustees-plays-critical-role-in-pushing-critical-race-theory-despite-ketanji-brown-jacksons-denial\/\">reported<\/a>, despite Jackson\u2019s testimony to the opposite, the Board of Trustees does, in fact, deal with curriculum and the broader push for the radical racial doctrine on a school-wide basis.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Watch: Ted Cruz Questions Judge Ketanji Jackson Brown on Critical Race Theory<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"video-src-attr\">Senate Judiciary Committee<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Collins, Murkowski, and Romney \u2014 considered the Senate\u2019s most moderate Republicans \u2014 did not respond to requests for comment from Breitbart News relating to Jackson\u2019s role as a trustee at Georgetown Day School.<\/p>\n<p>Romney has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/22\/mitt-romney-ketanji-jackson-child-porn-attacks-wont-impact-vote\/\">shrugged off<\/a> GOP concerns about Jackson while Collins <a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/us-law-week\/collins-signals-potential-support-for-jackson-after-meeting\">has called<\/a> Jackson\u2019s record as a defense attorney and federal judge \u201cimpressive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kelly Tshibaka, the Trump-backed conservative running against Murkowski in her Senate re-election bid, told Breitbart News that the moderate GOP Senator is \u201cforcing Alaskans to play the age-old guessing game \u2018How will Murkowski vote?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhenever the left gets called out on indoctrinating our children through Critical Race Theory, they usually deny it. We must eliminate the \u2018woke\u2019 from our schools. Teaching impressionable children that they cannot succeed or cannot be friends with each other because of the color of their skin is exactly the opposite of what we want kids to learn,\u201d Tshibaka said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAs a senator who will have to vote on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson\u2019s nomination to the Supreme Court, Lisa Murkowski should express a clear opinion about this, too,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Murkowski voted against Brett Kavanaugh\u2019s nomination to the Supreme Court, while Collins voted in favor of the now-Justice.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The left is able to deny the existence of critical race theory in schools and maintain that it is merely a legal theory taught in law schools \u2014 as Jackson did in front of the Senate \u2014 because phrases like \u201canti-racist,\u201d \u201csocial emotional learning,\u201d and \u201cequity\u201d have been used to surreptitiously refer to it as the ideology started to become a political issue for the Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, resources such as books written by prominent critical race theory purveyor Ibram X. Kendi or other works that instruct readers on how to \u201cdeal with their whiteness\u201d are key indicators of a school\u2019s employ of the ideology.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson\u2019s Georgetown Day School displays all key indicators with pride.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>In a July 17 letter from Board chair Lisa Fairfax, who introduced Jackson to the Senate, she indicated that \u201cthe Board can play its critical role in ensuring that we fulfill the GDS mission and for ways in which the Board can serve as a source of oversight and accountability for the important work to be done.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One such area of focus was addressing \u201cconcerns about the GDS curriculum\u201d with regard to race and \u201cequity,\u201d \u201cto better ensure that our entire community commits to making GDS an antiracist institution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the same letter, the board also came to \u201ca recognition that the entire GDS community\u2014including members of the white community, students and parents, faculty and staff\u2014must commit to engaging in the intentional work of fostering an antiracist environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a subsequent letter, Georgetown Day School said to its \u201cwhite community\u201d that\u00a0incidents like the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd are \u201cwhat occurs when we do not view the work of diversity, equity, and inclusion as all of our work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It also lists the following \u201cwork\u201d white persons can do to make race central to their lives:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Engaging in White anti-racist work and educating ourselves and our children on the societal conditioning of\u00a0<a class=\"pplink x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/u\/0\/d\/1VMzPbUotmuVwGbHhrMa_dZRma_CC1cajbRYz3iNi5to\/mobilebasic?usp=gmail_thread\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">anti-Black racism<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that the race conversation is not one that is only had by people of color and members of our Black community; and<\/li>\n<li>Engaging in educational opportunities and programming that seeks to heighten our awareness of\u00a0<a class=\"pplink x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.teachingforchange.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/ec_whiteracialidentity_english.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">White racial identity development<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The school also boasts a\u00a0lengthy\u00a0\u201cFamily and Educator Anti-Racist Resources\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gds.org\/academics\/diversity-equity-and-inclusion\/resources-for-parents\">list<\/a>, on which\u00a0eight and nine-year-olds are recommended\u00a0<em>Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You<\/em>, by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi, a book that asks, \u201cCan we send white people back to Europe?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other \u201cBooks for Kids\u201d include a list of 40 \u201cpicture books for young activists,\u201d \u201c31 Children\u2019s books to support conversations on race, racism, and resistance,\u201d and\u00a0<em>75 Things White People Can Do for Racial Justice<\/em>\u00a0by Corinne Shutack.<\/p>\n<p>But critical race theory is not the only red flag Senators are considering when reviewing Jackson\u2019s fitness for office as it relates to her role at Georgetown Day School.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/23\/k-12-school-where-ketanji-brown-jackson-sits-on-board-pushes-adult-sexual-content-on-children\/\">reported<\/a>, the school \u201chad children perform a play with adult sexual content and encouraged fourth-graders to participate in left-wing activism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The school\u2019s drama department put on a musical rendition of the sexually explicit 1906 German play\u00a0<em>Spring Awakening<\/em>, which explores adolescent sexual experimentation.<\/p>\n<p>The musical \u201cis not only about sexual awakening, but perhaps more so about self-discovery,\u201d Georgetown Day School High School Performing Arts Department Chair Laura Rosberg\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/hoppereffect.gds.org\/spring-awakening-a-cautionary-note-and-an-in-depth-study-of-the-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">said<\/a>\u00a0in a Disclaimer to potential audience members. \u201cI\u2019ve enjoyed the irony of a story about intimacy at a time when kids can\u2019t be intimate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the student paper, some students and staff had \u201creservations\u201d about doing the play.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeing more exposed and immersed in what we were doing, I got a little bit desensitized,\u201d one of the actresses, a junior, said. \u201cBut the subject matter is still very heavy.\u201d Technical Director Christal Boyd also voiced concerns.<\/p>\n<p>The school\u2019s fourth-graders were also forced into performative, left-wing activism in \u201cFree to Be Me,\u201d an assembly aimed at celebrating \u201cLGBTQ+ voices,\u201d which also compared the Black Lives Matter movement to the 1960s Civil Rights Movement.<\/p>\n<p>After explaining what the acronym \u201cLGBTQ+\u201d means, one fourth-grader said, \u201cthere are many, many more identities in the LGBTQ+ community that we haven\u2019t learned enough about yet. They are important and we will learn more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of the central themes of the presentation was that being an \u201cally\u201d was not enough, favoring activism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow let\u2019s look at a quote from Audrey Lorde, a famous poet and activist who described herself as black, lesbian mother, warrior poet,\u201d one fourth-grader said. \u201cShe said, \u2018You do not have to be me in order for us to fight alongside each other.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yet another fourth-grader said, \u201cBeing an ally is all about showing up pushing back and taking action.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_20352584\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aptopix-supreme-court-nomination-supreme-court-nominee-ketanji-brown-jackson-listens-sen-ted-cruz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-20352584\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/aptopix-supreme-court-nomination-supreme-court-nominee-ketanji-brown-jackson-listens-sen-ted-cruz.jpg\" alt=\"(AP Photo\/Alex Brandon)\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Supreme Court nominee\u00a0Ketanji Brown Jackson listens as Sen. (AP Photo\/Alex Brandon)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In addition to concerns about her ties to Georgetown Day School, Senators are increasingly alarmed by Jackson\u2019s record of sentencing child pornography offenders to lenient sentences that were below recommendations by the Sentencing Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson, in one particular case, handed down a three-month prison sentence to a sex offender caught with\u00a017 videos and 16 images of child pornography depicting\u00a0boys 8 to 12 years old in sex acts.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview, the sex offender <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/25\/sex-offender-thanks-ketanji-brown-jackson-for-three-month-prison-sentence-she-knew-this-was-going-to-hold-me-back-so-she-didnt-really-want-to-add-on-to-that\/\">seemingly<\/a> thanked Jackson for the lenient sentence, saying, \u201cI feel that she chose to take into consideration the fact that I was just getting started [in life] and she knew this was going to hold me back for years to come regardless \u2026 so she didn\u2019t really want to add on to that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/25\/senate-republicans-demand-answers-on-ketanji-brown-jacksons-three-month-sentence-for-sex-offender\/\">now demanding Jackson<\/a> turn over all relevant information regarding the case \u2014 including details where the sex offender was later forced into a halfway house because of his likelihood to continue browsing child pornography.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson needs 50 votes in the Senate, as Vice President Kamala Harris can break a tie, to be confirmed to the Supreme Court. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has said he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/24\/mitch-mcconnell-to-vote-against-ketanji-brown-jacksons-nomination-to-supreme-court\/\">would oppose<\/a> Jackson for the lifetime position while Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), considered a swing vote, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/25\/joe-manchin-to-vote-for-ketanji-brown-jackson-after-considering-her-record\/\">has vowed<\/a> to back her.<\/p>\n<p>Other Democrat swing votes, who could vote with Senate Republicans to block Jackson\u2019s confirmation, are Sens.
