The decision comes after Los Angeles County relaxed\u00a0its indoor mask mandate for businesses last month, allowing people to go maskless in restaurants, gyms, and other establishments if they show proof of vaccination.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>But toddlers enrolled in LAUSD\u2019s\u00a0Early Education Centers are still required to wear masks indoors under rules negotiated by the\u00a0union representing the district\u2019s teachers, UTLA.<\/p>\n<p>LAUSD elaborated on its website that \u201cindoor masking will continue to be required for students, employees and visitors at Early Education Centers (EECs), Early Education Center Preschool Collaborative Classes (EEC\/PCCs), California State Preschool Programs (CSPP), Infant Centers (ICs) and early childhood special education programs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some parents are upset that their young children are still being forced to mask up and are holding the teachers union responsible.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">More on UTLA making <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/ToddlerMasking?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#ToddlerMasking<\/a> a priority. The updated rules prohibit the attendance of anyone\u00a0who has tested positive for the virus within the last five days.<\/p>\n<p>The Academy has come under fire for its vaccination policy, which requires all Oscars ticketholders to be vaccinated but mysteriously leaves out presenters and performers.
