The hard drive contained years\u2019 worth of emails, texts, legal documents and photos detailing Hunter\u2019s prolific international business ventures. Shop owner <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/12\/hunter-bidens-laptop-repairman-harassed-nearly-bankrupt\/\">John Paul Mac Isaac<\/a> gave the hard drive to the FBI and eventually offered a copy to former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani. The former  mayor ultimately handed it over to The Post, which <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/12\/hunter-bidens-laptop-repairman-harassed-nearly-bankrupt\/\">published an expose a month before the 2020 presidential election<\/a>. The story of the laptop was falsely dismissed by much of the media as Russian propaganda and censored on Facebook and Twitter at the behest of the Democratic party. The big guy\u2019s share was to be held for him by Hunter.  <\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden has never voluntarily explained who \u201cthe big guy\u201d is \u2014 and has never been asked the question in multiple friendly interviews. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s one of the critical questions \u2014 perhaps the most critical question,\u201d said Stefanik, adding that she believes \u201cthe big guy\u201d was Joe Biden. Why were they left off Joe Biden\u2019s sanction list?\u201d Stefanik asked. Hunter has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/article\/2020\/sep\/30\/examining-trump-claim-hunter-biden-got-35-million-\/\">denied receiving the payments<\/a> in the past, and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has said the report had <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/18\/jen-psaki-brushes-off-bidens-conflicts-of-interest\/\">\u201cno confirmation.\u201d <\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Questions over whether Hunter Biden still owned a 10% stake in Chinese private equity firm BHR Partners would be on the table, as well as queries regarding a construction company which received lucrative building contracts in Iraq while Hunter\u2019s uncle, James Biden, served as executive vice president, Stefanik said. <\/p>\n<p>Stefanik, the No. 3 House Republican, is currently in Jacksonville, Fla., presiding over a conclave of her colleagues, all of whom are eagerly plotting a blizzard of investigations into the administration should they take control of the House in November.  <\/p>\n<p>Stefanik previously called for a subpoena of Hunter Biden during former President Trump\u2019s first impeachment probe in 2019 \u2014 before the discovery of his laptop.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden is just one of several probes that will run concurrently, House GOP leader <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/12\/house-gop-leader-kevin-mccarthy-says-putin-evil-but-biden-weak\/\">Kevin McCarthy (R-California) previously told The Post, <\/a>saying his colleagues would also investigate the origins of covid, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, and Department of Justice investigations into parents protesting Critical Race Theory.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image to conduct \u201clethal oversight,\u201d Stefanik said, saying an entire Friday morning session had been dedicated to educating members about best practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are already preparing document request and investigations of numerous federal agencies and individuals,\u201d Stefanik said and that things would get rolling on \u201cDay one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reps for Hunter Biden did not
