Mark Kelly (D-AZ) trails a generic Republican in Arizona\u2019s Senate race, according to a poll from\u00a0OHPredictive Insights released this past week.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.ohpredictive.com\/press-releases\/midterm-check-in-everything-is-tight\">poll<\/a> showed that 39 percent of the 753 Arizona registered voters who took the poll would rather have a generic Republican as their next senator instead of reelecting Kelly, which was determined by their answers to whom they would vote for if the election were \u201cheld today.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Thirty-seven percent said they would vote to reelect Kelly. Twenty-four percent indicated they were unsure of the person they wanted to represent them in the Senate next year.<\/p>\n<p>The OHPredictive Insights poll surveyed 753 Arizona registered voters between March 8 and 15. The survey was an online \u201copt-in\u201d panel with a margin of error, plus or minus 3.6 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly\u2019s reelection battle will be a must-watch race on election night in November. The main three sights that\u00a0analyze elections and campaigns across the country \u2014\u00a0Cook Political Report,\u00a0Sabato\u2019s Crystal Ball, and\u00a0Inside Elections \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/United_States_Senate_election_in_Arizona,_2022\">rated<\/a> this race a \u201ctoss-up,\u201d meaning it could go either way.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The\u00a0former astronaut has a list of Republicans trying to run against him after making it through the August 2 primary. But as\u00a0Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/15\/analysis-senate-majority-may-come-down-11-battleground-races\/\">wrote<\/a> last week, the\u00a0election integrity issue would likely be a topic for candidates.\u00a0Gov. Doug Ducey (R), Sen. Mitch McConnell\u2019s preferred candidate, recently ruled out running against Kelly. Still, he has also taken flack from former President Donald Trump following the 2020 election as the\u00a0Arizona\u00a0election results came into question.<\/p>\n<p>However,\u00a0Attorney General Mark Brnovich (R) has also taken some heat from Trump in the past for not doing more to look into possible fraud with the ballots in\u00a0Maricopa County. But he was a high-profile case with the U.S. Supreme Court, which upheld a ban on ballot harvesting. Another main Republican candidate is\u00a0Blake Masters, a venture capitalist who has the backing of\u00a0Peter Thiel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_17048816\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/07\/blake-masters.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Blake Masters (Thiel Fellowship)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>But since coming into office, Kelly has found himself in the middle of multiple problems. Early this year, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/01\/19\/mark-kelly-backs-breaking-filibuster-to-pass-voting-rights-reform\/\">embraced<\/a> the far-left side of his party by showing support to change the filibuster rule \u2013 the 60-vote threshold to advance legislation \u2013 in the Senate to help pass\u00a0two voting rights reform bills. He wanted to\u00a0replace it with a \u201ctalking filibuster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then, Kelly, who has banked\u00a0$8.9 million, according to his last financial report, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/midterm-election\/2022\/02\/16\/report-democrat-mark-kelly-finds-way-to-accept-corporate-pac-money-around-pledge\/\">found<\/a> a way to\u00a0accept corporate campaign cash without going back on his word after swearing off accepting help from\u00a0corporate PAC money. Kelly reportedly took in more than $55,000 in contributions during the last fundraising quarter of 2021 from \u201cPACs of corporate trade groups and the Senate leadership committees of many of his fellow Democrats.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, he also took <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/04\/20\/exclusive-missing-action-republicans-rip-democrat-mark-kelly-disappearing-public-view-after-getting-elected\/\">heat<\/a> from the\u00a0Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) for being \u201cmissing in action\u201d and for the lack of leadership the freshman member has in the Senate.
