Jim\u00a0Jordan (R-OH)\u00a0told the <em>Washington Times<\/em> at the Republican retreat in Florida this week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>If an impeachment trial does ensue, Jordan would head the House Judiciary Committee\u2019s hearing of the impeachment case before potentially conveying the articles of impeachment of the Senate.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15221422\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2020\/12\/AP_19323615529878.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rep. In Biden\u2019s first year as president,\u00a0fentanyl has become the greatest\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink x5l\" title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/katv.com\/news\/nation-world\/fentanyl-overdoses-surge-become-leading-cause-of-death-in-americans-aged-18-45-families-against-james-rauh-drug\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">killer<\/a>\u00a0among 18- to 45-year-olds. Inflation has\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink x5l\" title=\"This external link will open in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?client=internal-element-cse&#038;cx=partner-pub-9229289037503472:6795176714&#038;q=https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/10\/january-cpi\/&#038;sa=U&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjXmprczZP2AhX5j3IEHSGWCrUQFnoECAEQAg&#038;usg=AOvVaw2c6GOPvO8jnUljlpDeg2d3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">soared<\/a>\u00a0to a 40-year high. Ted Cruz (R-TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texastribune.org\/2022\/01\/04\/ted-cruz-joe-biden-impeachment\/\">said<\/a>\u00a0on his <em>Verdict with Ted Cruz<\/em> podcast in January that he believes there is a \u201cchance\u201d Republicans may impeach Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz explained:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Probably the most compelling is the utter lawlessness of President Biden\u2019s refusal to enforce the border. His decision to just defy federal immigration laws and allow 2 million people to come here unimpeded in direct contravention of his obligation under Article 2 of the Constitution to take care that the laws be faithfully executed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThat is probably the strongest grounds right now for impeachment, but there may be others,\u201d the senator stated.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz added that impeachment could be weaponized as a \u201cpartisan cudgel\u201d but noted that\u00a0\u201c\u200b\u200bDemocrats weaponized impeachment\u201d to combat Donald Trump. \u201cThey used it for partisan purposes to go after Trump because they disagreed with him. And one of the real disadvantages of doing that \u2026 is the more you weaponize it and turn it into a partisan cudgel, you know, what\u2019s good for the goose is good for the gander.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"t-copy t-links-underlined t-align-left\">Cruz and Jordan are not the only Republicans talking about impeachment. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/greene.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/congresswoman-marjorie-taylor-greene-introduces-three-impeachment-resolutions\">introduced<\/a> three impeachment resolutions against Biden. Reps.\u00a0<span class=\"rollover-people\">Bob Gibbs<\/span>\u00a0(R-OH), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Brian Babin (R-TX), and\u00a0<span class=\"rollover-people\">Randy Weber<\/span>\u00a0(R-TX) have also <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/573349-gop-lawmakers-file-articles-of-impeachment-against-biden\">filed<\/a> articles of impeachment.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"id__5ezttw59l2k\" dir=\"auto\" lang=\"en\">\u201cIt\u2019s clear the President is not up to the job, that his entire administration is willing to thumb its nose at the Constitution,\u201d Gibb\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepBobGibbs\/status\/1440457829928767492?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1440457829928767492%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fthehill.com%2Fhomenews%2Fhouse%2F573349-gop-lawmakers-file-articles-of-impeachment-against-biden\">tweeted<\/a>. \u201cThough Pelosi\u2019s House will not hold\u00a0@POTUS\u00a0accountable, it\u2019s incumbent upon House Republicans to call out his egregious violations of his oath of office.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In August, Sen.
