The Apple TV+ tearjerker tells the story of a working class deaf family in Massachusetts and the emotional strain they experience when the family\u2019s only hearing member \u2014 17-year-old Ruby (Emilia Jones) \u2014 decides she wants to become a singer.<\/p>\n<p>It is a remake of the 2014 French film <em>La Famille B\u00e9lier<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Matlin, who plays the family matriarch, revealed earlier this week that Joe and Jill Biden both watched the movie and \u00a0loved its \u201ctheme of family authenticity.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are in the White House Screening Room.
