But I know where you\u2019re going with that. We are winning the World Series this year. Put it on record.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe are winning the World Series,\u201d Roberts added. \u201cThat\u2019s our focus, that\u2019s our goal.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;We are winning the World Series in 2022\u2026 We will win the World Series this year, put it on record.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Dodgers?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Dodgers<\/a> Manager Dave Roberts <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/wGtl1CRnwO\">pic.twitter.com\/wGtl1CRnwO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dan Patrick Show (@dpshow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dpshow\/status\/1507043327698427907?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 24, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>According to Caesars Sportsbook, the Dodgers are currently the favorites to win the World Series, sitting at +500.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Dodgers have been one of the best teams in baseball over the past decade, winning five of the last six NL West Division crowns with Roberts as manager. In 2020, he led LA to the organization\u2019s first World Series title since 1988. In 2021, the Dodgers won 106 games before losing to the eventual World Series champions, the Atlanta Braves, in the NLCS. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Thursday, Roberts went on to explain that his starting staff needed to stay healthy in order to achieve its goals, but never took back his guarantee of a World Series title.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe are winning the World Series if our starting staff stays healthy,\u201d Roberts continued. \u201cI know that\u2019s vague, but that\u2019s my answer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Earlier in March, the Dodgers signed first baseball Freddie Freeman to a 6-year, $162 million contract, adding to their vaunted lineup. Freeman spent the first 12 years of his career in Atlanta, where he was a five-time NL All-Star, a Gold Glove winner, and the 2020 NL MVP. He\u2019s a career .295 hitter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He penned a letter to Braves fans, thanking them for their support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI don\u2019t even know where to begin,\u201d Freeman <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BravesOnBally\/status\/1504181571930275843?s=20&#038;t=uGBkCx8ZNzKEstxv4IugDA\"><span>wrote<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cFor the past 15 years I got to be a part of your organization. It was truly an honor. We went through the very highs together and some lows but those lows is what made last year so special.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI gave everything I had day in and day out and I hope you guys saw that as well,\u201d Freeman <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BravesOnBally\/status\/1504181571930275843?s=20&#038;t=uGBkCx8ZNzKEstxv4IugDA\"><span>added<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cAlthough our time has come to an end, I look forward to seeing and playing in front of you all again. When that times comes, I hope you remember all the wonderful memories we made together. I love you Braves Country!
