Joe Manchin (D-WV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sen_JoeManchin\/status\/1507352490722967558?s=20&#038;t=kPRLbSy4NG3PctnLnILSpw\">intends<\/a> to vote in favor of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to serve on the Supreme Court after \u201cconsidering her record, and closely monitoring her testimony and questioning before the Senate Judiciary Committee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Manchin was seen by Republicans as the best chance for a Democrat \u201cno\u201d vote after Jackson\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/25\/senators-on-ketanji-brown-jacksons-school-indoctrination-what-did-she-know-and-when-did-she-know-it\/\">record<\/a> revealed her sentencing leniency toward child pornography criminals, as well as connections to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/24\/school-board-of-trustees-plays-critical-role-in-pushing-critical-race-theory-despite-ketanji-brown-jacksons-denial\/\">critical race theory<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/23\/k-12-school-where-ketanji-brown-jackson-sits-on-board-pushes-adult-sexual-content-on-children\/\">gender theory<\/a> in K-12 schools.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cJudge Jackson\u2019s record and career are exemplary,\u201d Manchin\u2019s statement posted to Twitter said, noting her \u201cgreat temperament to make an exceptional jurist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news was praised by teachers union boss Randi Weingarten, who <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rweingarten\/status\/1507367350332534786?s=20&#038;t=kPRLbSy4NG3PctnLnILSpw\">replied<\/a> to Manchin\u2019s post with, \u201cAs the Senator or anyone who sees Judge Jackson\u2019s record &#038; credentials should, but still very good news!!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJudge Jackson and her family spend a great deal of time in West Virginia and her deep love of our state and commitment to public service were abundantly clear,\u201d Manchin concluded.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Manchin\u2019s decision comes as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/24\/mitch-mcconnell-to-vote-against-ketanji-brown-jacksons-nomination-to-supreme-court\/\">announced<\/a> Thursday he intends to vote against Jackson\u2019s nomination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter studying the nominee\u2019s record, and watching her performance this week, I cannot and will not support Judge Jackson for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court,\u201d McConnell said on the Senate floor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was not reassuring to hear Judge Jackson essentially say that if senators want her to be tough on crime, we need to change the law, take away her discretion and force her to do it,\u201d McConnell continued. \u201cThat response seems to confirm that deeply held personal policy views seep into her jurisprudence. And that is exactly what the record suggests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most radical pro-court packing fringe groups badly wanted this nominee for this vacancy. Judge Jackson was the court packers\u2019 pick, and she testified like it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Susan Collins (R-ME), Mitt Romney (R-UT), and\u00a0Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) are all considered potential swing votes.<\/p>\n<p><em>Breccan F.
