one week after he was admitted due to an infection, officials said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The high court&#8217;s Public Information Office told the <i>Washington Examiner <\/i>he was released &#8220;earlier today&#8221; after it was announced Sunday evening that the most senior justice had been admitted to the hospital last Friday for &#8220;flu-like symptoms.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Thomas, 73, was treated with intravenous antibiotics and his symptoms were &#8220;abating,&#8221; according to the only other court statement provided in the wake of his hospitalization. \u201cHe expects to be released from the hospital in a day or two,&#8221; a court spokesperson said on Monday, also noting Thomas had not contracted the coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p><b><u><a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court-mum-on-health-of-thomas-breyer-thinks-hes-fine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SUPREME COURT MUM ON HEALTH OF THOMAS, BREYER THINKS &#8216;HE&#8217;S FINE&#8217; <\/a><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The other eight justices have continued to hear oral arguments this week, while Thomas has participated in &#8220;consideration and decision of the cases on the basis of the briefs and the transcripts of oral arguments&#8221; remotely, according to Chief Justice John Roberts.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Stephen Breyer, who is retiring later this year, was stopped Wednesday by a TMZ reporter asking about Thomas&#8217;s condition, to which Breyer said: &#8220;I think he&#8217;s fine.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Amid Thomas&#8217;s hospitalization, reports emerged Thursday evening regarding his wife, Ginni Thomas, who previously exchanged several messages to former White House chief of staff <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/north-carolina-investigating-mark-meadows-for-voter-fraud\">Mark Meadows<\/a> about overturning the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>The messages were obtained by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and were sent in the days and weeks following former President Donald Trump&#8217;s loss to then-candidate Joe Biden, with the reports depicting the justice&#8217;s spouse voicing support for lawyer <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/sidney-powell-asks-judge-who-depicted-team-as-dangerous-lunatics-to-reverse-sanction\">Sidney Powell<\/a> to become \u201cthe lead and the face\u201d of Trump\u2019s legal team in challenging the results.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sidney Powell &#038;
