The inflow adds about two million people to the nation every year, as approximately 4 million Americans begin searching for jobs.<\/p>\n<p>He is a Cuban-born, pro-migration zealot. The regulation is the centerpiece of his bureaucratic campaign to build a network of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/06\/25\/democrat-rep-el-paso-is-the-new-ellis-island\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new migration pathways<\/a>\u00a0that operate outside the numerical limits set by Congress, and alongside the labor-trafficking networks run by the drug cartels.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The 512-page\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/public-inspection\/2022-06148\/procedures-for-credible-fear-screening-and-consideration-of-asylum-withholding-of-removal-and\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">March 24 regulation<\/a> converts the preliminary \u201cCredible Fear Interview\u201d process for new arrivals into a fast-track, full-scale asylum hearing, where migrants can get political asylum in a face-to-face interview with a low-level agency official.<\/p>\n<p>Under current rules, migrants can ask for a Credible Fear Interview. If approved, they can stay in the country for a few years while a courtroom judge decides if their evidence justifies the award of asylum. The award of asylum is a huge prize \u2014 it allows migrants the right to take jobs, rent homes, become a citizen, and bring relatives into the United State via chain migration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis will only encourage more illegal immigration and fraudulent asylum claims, which is the Biden administration\u2019s end goal,\u201d said a statement from Dan Stein, the president of the Federation of American Immigration Reform.<\/p>\n<p>The mass inflow cuts Americans\u2019 wages and pushes up rents, but it grows Wall Street values for the business groups that fund the pro-migration advocacy by progressives.<\/p>\n<p>The new rule likely will face a lawsuit by advocates for Congress\u2019 authority over immigration policy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Officials at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) persuaded corporate reporters to portray the new border doorway as a modest streamlining of the current process.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/24\/us\/politics\/us-asylum-changes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> March 24:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"css-g5piaz evys1bk0\">Under the\u00a0<a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.xn--gov-vla\/public-inspection\/2022-06148\/procedures-for-credible-fear-screening-and-consideration-of-asylum-withholding-of-removal-and\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new policy<\/a>, which the administration released on Thursday as an interim final rule, some migrants seeking asylum will have their claims heard and evaluated by asylum officers instead of immigration judges.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-g5piaz evys1bk0\">The goal, administration officials said, is for the entire process to take six months, compared with a current average of about five years.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The <em>Washington Post<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2022\/03\/24\/us-asylum-officers-will-have-larger-role-border-screenings-under-new-biden-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> March 24:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThere will be a very careful, slow ramp-up of cases into this system,\u201d said a USCIS official who briefed reporters on the condition that the official would not be identified. \u201cWe do not anticipate having a large number of individuals placed in this process in the first weeks and months as well make sure the process functions the way we anticipate that it should.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>CBS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/immigration-asylum-us-overhaul-late-spring\/\"> reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>According to people familiar with the deliberations, the administration has considered erecting campus-like processing centers to screen asylum-seekers in a more humane setting than Customs and Border Protection holding facilities, which are not designed to house migrants past three days. No such facilities have yet been erected.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But \u201cthis is pushing the authority further down in the bureaucracy to decide who gets to live permanently in the United States,\u201d said Krikorian. He continued:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Granting asylum is an awesome power because it represents an end-run around [Congress\u2019] legal caps on [annual legal] immigration, and giving that power to relatively low-level bureaucrats, is really problematic.<\/p>\n<p>It will be hard for them to resist the temptation to grant asylum profligately, because of the psychic rewards they\u2019ll get from it. They\u2019ll be able to they\u2019ll get a warm and fuzzy feeling by approving far more asylum claims than they should be approving.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The pending asylum-award process will be adjudicated by pro-migration advocates in DHS\u2019 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services agency (USCIS).<\/p>\n<p>The new process does not significantly curb or shrink other avenues towards asylum, Krikorian said. For example, if a migrant fails to persuade the USCIS worker, they can still use the existing multi-layered process to ask judges for asylum, and can then appeal a judicial rejection, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>They can still then go to a judge because it\u2019s basically a \u201cHeads I win, tails you lose\u201d regulation.\u201d It is an extra bite at the apple \u2014 and the initial bite by USCIS asylum officers will not be an adversarial process the way it is in an immigration court. It will be just a \u201cHold my hand and tell me where the bad man touched you\u201d interview.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s set up to maximize the share of people getting asylum,\u201d he said.\u00a0\u201cThis is yet another way anti-borders forces can pry open the borders of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pro-migration groups are pushing asylum rules far beyond their original goal, Krikorian said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Asylum is a profound even existential threat to developed countries. It is a 70-year-old institution that has that was created in a completely different world, at the beginning of the Cold War \u2026 when it was only applied to a handful of Russian ballerinas.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But Mayorkas and others are using asylum law to expand migration into the United State, beyond the annual numbers set by Congress in 1990. For example, Mayorkas is reportedly drafting a regulation to expand the justifications for getting asylum to include a fear of non-political crime.<\/p>\n<p>Mayorkas\u2019 regulations are \u201can attempt to bypass Congress and administratively turn the Emma Lazarus poem into law,\u201d Krikorian added.<\/p>\n<p>The 1883 poem by Lazarus has no legal status but is championed by open-border progressives. It says:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Give me your tired, your poor,<br \/>Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,<br \/>The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.<br \/>Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Only about one-third of Americans accept the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/survey-elite-imposed-migration-is-transforming-national-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nation of Immigrants<\/a>\u201d narrative.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world,\u201d said a Mayorkas ally, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA). He\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/21\/opinion\/sway-kara-swisher-ro-khanna.html?showTranscript=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">told<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<em>New York Times<\/em>\u00a0on March 21:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Why are [our politics] so polarized? I believe it is that we [progressives] are trying to do something remarkable. When my parents came to the United States, the Immigration and Naturalization Act had just passed. Before that, they didn\u2019t let Indians basically come to America. Immigration was 90 percent European. Today it\u2019s about 15 percent European. We\u2019re a country that is 60 percent white non-Hispanic. We\u2019re trying to become the first multiracial, multi-ethnic superpower in the world. And you\u2019re telling me that was going to be some [peaceful] linear line from [President Barack] Obama onwards? Give me a break. It is hard what we\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n<p>So we\u2019re polarized because we\u2019re fighting about different ways of life. We\u2019re fighting about different cultures, what should America be? And it\u2019s a tough time, and it\u2019s time we\u2019re [also] stress[ed] with economic dislocation, with jobs going offshore.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The new regulation \u201cclearly imposes a cost on Americans because it\u2019s it\u2019s increasing immigration,\u201d Krikorian said.<\/p>\n<p>Since at least 1990, the D.C. establishment has used a wide variety of excuses and explanations to justify its policy of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/extraction-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extracting<\/a>\u00a0tens of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2022\/02\/23\/report-u-s-immigrant-population-hits-record-46-6-million\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">millions<\/a>\u00a0of migrants\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/24\/bidens-border-agency-worries-about-tinder-swindler-amid-migration-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">visa workers<\/a>\u00a0from poor countries to serve as workers, consumers, and renters for various U.S. investors and CEOs.<\/p>\n<p>The self-serving\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/12\/20\/washington-post-low-wage-employers-struggle-after-cheap-labor-bubble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">economic<\/a>\u00a0strategy of extraction migration has\u00a0no\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/20\/gop-donors-economist-immigration-can-offset-foreign-trade-risks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stopping<\/a>\u00a0point. It is harmful to ordinary Americans because it cuts their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/03\/12\/bloomberg-opts-h1bs-take-two-three-new-tech-jobs-each-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">career<\/a>\u00a0opportunities, shrinks their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/04\/08\/elite-academics-hide-amnesty-wage-pain-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">salaries and wages<\/a>, raises their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/06\/16\/new-yorks-mayoral-rivals-vow-cheap-housing-plus-more-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">housing<\/a>\u00a0costs, and shoves\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/15\/d-c-s-economic-policy-sidelines-almost-20-million-american-men\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tens of millions of Americans<\/a>\u00a0out of the labor force.<\/p>\n<p>Extraction migration also curbs Americans\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/11\/president-trump-wins-big-on-secret-meatpacking-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">productivity<\/a>, reduces their political\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&#038;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS946US946&#038;oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&#038;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10228j0j4&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">clout<\/a>, undermines U.S.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/03\/04\/joe-biden-delivers-flood-of-cheap-migrant-labor-to-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">workplace<\/a>\u00a0rights, and widens the regional wealth\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/13\/zuckerbergs-data-says-amnesty-gives-economic-windfall-coastal-democratic-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaps<\/a>\u00a0between the Democrats\u2019 coastal states and the Republicans\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/01\/10\/former-steeltown-seeks-afghans-to-replace-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Heartland<\/a>\u00a0states.<\/p>\n<p>An economy built on extraction migration also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/01\/survey-elite-imposed-migration-is-transforming-national-politics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radicalizes<\/a>\u00a0Americans\u2019 democratic, compromise-promoting civic\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/search\/?s=%22white+supremacy%22#gsc.tab=0&#038;gsc.q=%22white%20supremacy%22&#038;gsc.page=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture<\/a>\u00a0because it allows wealthy elites to ignore <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Diseases_of_despair\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">despairing<\/a>\u00a0Americans\u00a0at the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JorgeAl49986803\/status\/1439791277571145737?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">bottom<\/a>\u00a0of society.<\/p>\n<p>The economic strategy also\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2022\/02\/01\/dhs-mayorkas-welcomes-illegal-migrant-survivor-boat-disaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kills<\/a>\u00a0many migrants,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/04\/13\/joe-bidens-half-open-border-splits-tens-of-thousands-of-families\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">splits<\/a>\u00a0foreign families, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/01\/10\/critics-joe-biden-is-restarting-hunger-games-migration-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extracts<\/a> wealth from\u00a0the poor home countries.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprisingly, the wealth-shifting extraction migration policy is very unpopular, according to\u00a0a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/03\/30\/harvard-harris-poll-5-in-6-americans-want-to-end-immigration-from-mexico\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wide<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/immigration\/2021\/01\/14\/poll-americans-want-companies-hire-americans-before-migrants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">variety<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2020\/04\/13\/ipsos-poll-nearly-8-in-10-americans-want-immigration-moratorium-for-u-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">polls<\/a>.
