The report\u2019s release comes after Seattle voted not once, but twice, to defund its police department, which further exacerbated its staffing shortages. According to the crime report, 911 response times have suffered as a result of the shortage \u2014 priority one median response time increased to 7.5 minutes, and the average response time increased to 10.5 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"speakable\">According to Sagan, downtown Seattle\u2019s main intersection was already known for drug use and criminal activity; however, it was tolerable before the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"speakable\">She noted that when Piroshky Piroshky and other businesses began reopening, they were dealing with individuals selling, buying, and using drugs, adding that it came to a head with the deadly shooting of a 15-year-old on Third Avenue.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-container desktop ad-h-50 ad-w-300\">\n<div id=\"desktop_desk-art-us-lb3\" class=\"ad gam\">\n<div class=\"ad-container desktop ad-h-50 ad-w-300\">\n<div id=\"desktop_desk-art-us-lb4\" class=\"ad gam\">\n<p>\u201cThis is not a good business environment,\u201d the baker told Fox. \u201cThat was my message for the last six months, but I honestly have run out of messages to send.\u201d<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>The Seattle Police Department has\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ucvdc_447X0\">announced<\/a> a plan for law enforcement and public safety, KING 5 reported Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s downtown became so dangerous that King County employees were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2021\/11\/12\/seattle-crime-results-security-escorts-county-workers\/\">escorted<\/a> by security guards to various modes of public transportation, Breitbart News reported in November.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Sagan noted, \u201cIt\u2019s a complex issue.
