Josh Hawley post a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HawleyMO\/status\/1504221926662844418\">Twitter thread<\/a>\u00a0<span>detailing her rulings, interviews, articles, and speeches, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2022\/03\/17\/hawley-bidens-scotus-pick-pattern-letting-child-porn-offenders-off-hook\/\">accusing her<\/a> of having an\u00a0 \u201calarming pattern when it comes to Judge Jackson\u2019s treatment of sex offenders, especially those preying on children.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Hawley specifically drew attention to several cases in which Jackson sentenced child porn offenders below federal guidelines, as well as below the sentence length requested by prosecutors. For instance, Hawley tweeted about the case <em>United States v. Sears<\/em>: \u201cthe sex offender distributed more than 102 child porn videos. He also sent lewd pictures of his own 10-year-old daughter.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cThe Guidelines recommended 97-121 months in prison. (Alex Brandon\/AP)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hawley also noted Jackson advocated for \u201cdrastic change\u201d in how the law treats sex offenders \u201cby eliminating the existing mandatory minimum sentences for child porn,\u201d among other findings.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson has faced intense <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/22\/josh-hawley-grills-ketanji-brown-jackson-on-alleged-leniency-on-child-pornographers\/\">scrutiny<\/a> and questioning from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/22\/ted-cruz-to-ketanji-brown-jackson-sexual-predators-would-be-released-if-your-law-school-views-prevailed\/\">several Republican senators<\/a>, and has repeatedly explained her reasoning for sentencing below federal guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut the way that the guideline is now structured based on that set of circumstances is leading to extreme disparities in the system because it\u2019s so easy for people to get volumes of this kind of material now by computers,\u201d she said during day two of her confirmation hearing. \u201cIt\u2019s not doing the work of differentiating who is a more serious offender in the way that it used to. So, the commission has taken that into account, and perhaps more importantly, courts are adjusting their sentences in order to account for the changed circumstances \u2014 but it says nothing about the court\u2019s view of the seriousness of this offense.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">KBJ: &#8220;With one click, you can distribute tens of thousands [of child porn]. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on day three of her hearing, Jackson again said she sentenced well below the federal guidelines because she does not believe the current guidelines properly apply to technological developments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn comes the internet. On the internet with one click, you can receive, you can distribute tens of thousands [of child sex abuse images]. You can be doing this for 15 minutes and all of a sudden, you are looking at 30,40,50 years in prison \u2014\u201d she said before Graham cut in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood\u2026I hope [they] go to jail for 50 years if you\u2019re on the internet trolling for images of children in sexual exploitation,\u201d Graham said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Democrats have been all but silent on the issue, except when attempting to defend Jackson\u2019s record. Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), over the course of the hearing, l<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/22\/democrat-sen-dick-durbin-leaps-to-defend-ketanji-brown-jackson-from-accusations-of-leniency-in-child-porn-possession-cases\/\">eapt to Jackson\u2019s defense<\/a> several times and even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/23\/watch-durbin-tries-to-shield-ketanji-brown-jackson-from-child-porn-questions\/\">interrupted GOP senators<\/a> while they questioned her about her record. Some establishment Republicans have been unsupportive, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/22\/mitt-romney-ketanji-jackson-child-porn-attacks-wont-impact-vote\/\">calling<\/a> the line of questioning \u201coff course.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump Jr. called out Democrats\u00a0 in another tweet on Wednesday, asking when Democrats became so \u201cpro-pedophile.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">When did Democrats become so pro-pedophile?
