Now, one plus-sized model is publicly calling out Delta as the body positivity movement is in full swing. Remi Bader was unhappy that her seat belt didn\u2019t fit around her waist without an extender and made a video to express her displeasure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cDelta, figure it out!\u201d wrote Bader in the subtitle of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@remibader\/video\/7077188052174605611\"><span>clip<\/span><\/a><span>, which she shared with her 2.1 million followers. \u201cAnd no I shouldn\u2019t need to ask for an extender. It should just be easy! @delta,\u201d she wrote. The video has racked up more than 1 million views.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Commenters were mostly supportive and agreed with Bader\u2019s assessment. \u201cEeek. Everyone praises delta too. Being a size 14 should not warrant an extension,\u201d one person wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Some of Bader\u2019s followers tried to explain why the seat belts didn\u2019t fit everyone, insisting that it wasn\u2019t fat phobia, but a matter of practicality. \u201cWhen the seatbelts get damaged, they trim them instead of replacing the whole thing,\u201d one commenter wrote. \u201cThis is why the length is so inconsistent.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>It makes sense that Bader was complaining about Delta planes in particular. Travel review site <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thepointsguy.com\/guide\/flying-while-fat-tips-from-a-passenger-of-size\/\"><span>The Points Guy<\/span><\/a><span> said Delta\u2019s seatbelts range in size from 40 to 45 inches. Meanwhile, American Airlines belts fall in the 45 to 47 inch range, while JetBlue seatbelts are 45 inches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The plus-sized model would have the worst time on a Southwest flight, however. Their seatbelts are the shortest at just 39 inches long.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This isn\u2019t the first time the issue has come up for Bader. In October, she posted a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@remibader\/video\/7020560890030279942\"><span>video<\/span><\/a><span> on the issue of seatbelt length on planes, saying she felt unsafe when her belt wouldn\u2019t close during takeoff on yet another Delta flight. When she asked the flight attendant about it, the model was told she could have asked for a seatbelt extender. But Bader claimed to not know what that was.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>She went on to say how she felt \u201cembarrassed\u201d having to ask for one and said, \u201cclearly there is something wrong with me.\u201d The model also shared some follower comments of people who commiserate with her on feeling shamed for having to ask for an extender.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cJust make longer seatbelts, why is this an issue?\u201d she said in the TikTok <\/span><span>video<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Her comments come not long after a plus-sized travel blogger posted similar complaints in her own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@kirstyleannetravels\/video\/7065060619006790918\">TikTok<\/a> compilation. Kirsty Leanne recorded herself struggling to fit into an airline seat, buckle her seatbelt, and put down her tray table. Commenters were a lot more critical of Leanne, with many admonishing her to purchase two seats or not fly at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cReally not fair to others to take up 1 and a half seats,\u201d one commenter wrote. \u201cBuy 2 seats or don\u2019t fly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cShouldn\u2019t\u2026 you get smaller instead of the planes catering to you?\u201d another person said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Enter for the chance to hang out with Gina Carano at the premiere of her new Daily Wire movie, Terror on the Prairie!
