In fact, they\u2019ve treated Ketanji Brown Jackson worse, the Editorial Board writes,\u201d tweeted the outlet\u2019s opinion section.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Republicans boast they have not pulled a Kavanaugh. In fact, they\u2019ve treated Ketanji Brown Jackson worse, the Editorial Board writes <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HS2NOlmeFT\">https:\/\/t.co\/HS2NOlmeFT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Washington Post Opinions (@PostOpinions) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PostOpinions\/status\/1506811919784882176?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 24, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The article opens by claiming that the allegations against Kavanaugh \u2014 regarding everything from drunken fraternity games to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-avenatti-reveals-third-accuser-who-claims-emily-zanotti\/\">gang rape<\/a> \u2014 were \u201ccredible,\u201d despite the fact that the woman who <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/christine-blasey-fords-friend-doesnt-believe-her-joseph-curl\/\">accused him directly<\/a> could not recall when or where the supposed assault happened and none of the people she claimed were there could even confirm she had ever met Kavanaugh.<\/p>\n<p>The Editorial Board then accuses Kavanaugh of behaving \u201cintemperately\u201d when he lashed out at the Democrats who he said were falsely accusing him of heinous crimes \u2014 and doing so in front of his wife and young daughters.<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, the Editorial Board argues that Republican questions addressing Judge Jackson\u2019s record \u2014 which leans toward lighter-than-recommended sentences for those convicted in child pornography cases \u2014 are blatant attempts to \u201csmear\u201d her. In addition, the board suggests that Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/im-not-a-biologist-supreme-court-nominee-says-she-cant-define-the-word-woman\/\">asking Jackson<\/a> to define the word \u201cwoman\u201d is far more concerning than the fact that Jackson <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/yes-judge-ketanji-brown-jackson-can-define-woman-the-woke-left-just-wont-let-her\/\">could not answer<\/a> the question.<\/p>\n<p>Critics roundly mocked The Washington Post over the claim, sharing their thoughts on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">LOL when I first scrolled past this I assumed it was a Jen Rubin special but it is genuinely laughable that this take is by the whole <\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-b88u0q r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">WaPo<\/span><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\"> editorial board,\u201d Jerry Dunleavy <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JerryDunleavy\/status\/1507024360242126858\">said<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cImagine saying this with a straight face? Dems accused Kavanaugh of being a serial rapist with no evidence besides the word of someone that couldn\u2019t remember anything &#038; Michael Avenatti,\u201d Donald Trump Jr. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DonaldJTrumpJr\/status\/1507044628826140676\">added<\/a>. \u201cRepublicans questioned Jackson about very lenient sentences for pedos &#038; child pornographers!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Washington Examiner\u2019s Kaelan Deese <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KaelanDC\/status\/1507021244331343874\">explained<\/a>, \u201cWhile exchanges have been tense, it\u2019s objectively clear that GOP concerns around KBJ have been aptly pointed towards her record and not remotely in the same realm as the spring trap that was placed on Kavanaugh over purported events before his relevant career work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats falsely accused Kavanaugh of being a raging alcoholic and serial gang rapist and the entire mainstream media apparatus ran with it, no questions asked,\u201d Natalie Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nataliejohnsonn\/status\/1507007725472927745\">pointed out<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Democrat media thinks liberal SCOTUS nominees should be rubber-stamped through confirmation, no questions asked, and all conservative nominees should be put through the wringer,\u201d the Washington Free Beacon\u2019s Chuck Ross <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ChuckRossDC\/status\/1507006935488348174\">added<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Knowles offered a slightly offbeat take, arguing that The Washington Post was right, although not for the reasons it cited. \u201cIt\u2019s true.
