A winning favorability rating means the public likes you, which can be even more important than your job approval ratings. A good example is Barack Obama.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>People liked the guy more than they approved of the job he did. It was one of those things that allowed his approval ratings to sometimes defy gravity.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s so fascinating about Trump \u2014 and I\u2019ll get to the specific numbers in a bit \u2014 is that for the last five years, the corporate media have spent billions of dollars smearing the guy as a racist, sexist, predator, Russian puppet\u2026 And it\u2019s not working.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_20357354\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2022\/03\/GettyImages-1239161710.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Pro-Trump merchandise is displayed before a rally featuring former President Donald Trump at the Florence Regional Airport on March 12, 2022 in Florence, South Carolina. (Sean Rayford\/Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>What\u2019s also interesting is that Trump can oftentimes be his own worst enemy regarding likability. This is a very smart and charming guy who can also be petty, childish, obsessed with things that don\u2019t matter, and entirely too abrasive for what many people see as the role of a president or even a former president.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Nevertheless, he\u2019s wiping the floor with the media-approved politicians, at least for right now.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the averages per the RealClearPolitics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/other\/FavorabilityRatingsPoliticalLeaders.html\">poll of polls\u2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Favorable \/ Unfavorable \/ Spread<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trump: 45 \/ 50.6 \/ -5.6<\/li>\n<li>Biden: 42.5 \/ 52.8 \/ -10.3<\/li>\n<li>Harris: 36.5 \/ 56 \/ -15.5<\/li>\n<li>McConnell: 24.3 \/ 57.8 \/ -33.5<\/li>\n<li>McCarthy: 23.7 \/ 40.3 \/ -16.6<\/li>\n<li>Pelosi: 34.4 \/ 56.6 \/ -22.2<\/li>\n<li>Schumer: 29 \/ 46.0 \/ -17.7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Keep in mind these are <em>averages.<\/em> This is not some outlier poll. Currently, Trump has the highest favorable rating and is only -5.6 points underwater. The closest to him is His Fraudulency Joe Biden, who nearly doubles that number with -10.3 points underwater.<\/p>\n<p>There are several factors at work here\u2026 First, Trump\u2019s 2024 campaign slogan could simply be, \u201cHad Enough?\u201d The comparison between the prosperous and peaceful Trump years, especially the first three years, to the 24\/7 horror we\u2019re living through under Biden is striking and undeniable.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Trump just said what the nation is thinking. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/I9rB40GWju\">https:\/\/t.co\/I9rB40GWju<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1433601063395938313?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Secondly, Trump\u2019s hold on the GOP base is unlike anything I have ever seen in modern politics. Even Ronald Reagan, one of the greatest presidents in history, did not win this kind of loyalty. All over, I still see Trump signs and flags everywhere. It\u2019s uncanny and unprecedented.<\/p>\n<p>The third issue is the most worrisome. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. So what would these numbers look like if Trump still had access to social media?
