If convicted, she could face up to 25 years in prison, WNBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnewyork.com\/news\/local\/crime-and-courts\/jarring-narrative-emerges-in-nyc-street-shove-death-as-accused-woman-awaits-release\/3612361\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Pazienza is accused of shoving Gustern to the ground in the vicinity of West 28th and 8th Avenue in Chelsea at around 8:25 p.m., causing the 87-year-old to fall and bang her head against the sidewalk, Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2022\/03\/13\/nypd-elderly-nyc-woman-critical-condition-manhattan-attack\/\">reported<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/nydailynews.com\/new-york\/ny-attack-voice-coach-shoved-20220312-c4dncxjwcjeflcoaswlw5tat7a-story.html\">citing<\/a> the <em>Daily News<\/em>. She was set to marry her fianc\u00e9, identified by the <em>Daily News<\/em> as\u00a0Naveen Pereira, in June. Periera works for Microsoft, Inside Edition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Uu1qVLj7ieI\">reported<\/a>. Prosecutors said she stopped using her cellphone and ditched it at her aunt\u2019s home to hamper law enforcement\u2019s ability to locate her.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, the NYPD received an anonymous tip that she was staying with her parents, and authorities showed up at the Long Island residence on Monday. Prosecutors said her father, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10643711\/Pictured-mugshot-Events-coordinator-26-charged-killing-grandmother.html\">identified<\/a> by the <em>Daily Mail<\/em> as Daniel Pazienza, refused to answer the door and said \u201cthat his daughter was not at home,\u201d according to the <em>Daily News<\/em>. She hired\u00a0Arthur Aidala as her lawyer and surrendered the following day. Aidala\u00a0has previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/national-security\/553318-giuliani-hires-attorneys-who-defended-harvey-weinstein\">represented<\/a> disgraced producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and former NFL superstar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/lawrence-taylor-charged-with-failing-to-report-new-address\/\">Lawrence Taylor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>On the night of the attack, Pazienza\u00a0<span>\u201ccrossed the street, approached (Gustern) directly, called her \u2018a b\u2013ch\u2019 (and) shoved her as hard as she\u2019s ever been hit,\u201d said Manhattan\u2019s Assistant District Attorney Justin McNabney, per the <em>Daily News<\/em>. He noted those were Gustern\u2019s words to friends following the attack and that she was \u201cbleeding profusely from the head\u201d before she lost consciousness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>WNBC reported:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Surveillance video from the corner of West 28th Street and Ninth Avenue minutes after the attack showed a woman matching Pazienza\u2019s description walking in the same direction a witness told police the attacker went.<\/p>\n<p>Additional surveillance footage tracked Pazienza to Penn Station, where police were able to get a clearer image of her, prosecutors said, and two people who know Pazienza identified her as the woman seen there.<\/p>\n<p>Other security video showed Pazienza in and around the area for almost a half-hour after the attack, according to prosecutors. About seven minutes after the shove, she was seen in a physical altercation with a man believed to be her fianc\u00e9, prosecutors said. They also allege Pazienza was later seen watching the ambulance as it arrived at the scene to take Gustern to the hospital.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to prosecutors, detectives said a video shows Pazienza and Pereira entering their building in Astoria about 90 minutes after she allegedly shoved Gustern,\u00a0WNBC noted. Prosecutors added that she was donning the same outfit as the suspect seen in surveillance footage right after the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Pazienza did not say a word to reporters as detectives perp-walked her out the 10th precinct and into an NYPD vehicle Tuesday, the <em>Daily New<\/em>s said. (NYPD Crime Stoppers\/screenshot)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Her attorney, Aidala, said the charges were excessive and added that the evidence in the case is unclear, WNBC reported.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cWhether it was a push, or whether it was a shove, or whether it was a kick, or whether someone tripped, the evidence is not very solid on that at all,\u201d Aidala said, per video from Inside Edition.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He said the evidence on how exactly Gustern fell is not solid and asserted there is no evidence Pazienza watched the aftermath of her alleged crime.<\/p>\n<p>She is being held on a $500,000 bail or a $1 million bond, according to the <em>Daily News<\/em>. She could be released by Friday, WNBC said.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Daily News<\/em> reported that she worked as events coordinator before resigning:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A graduate of the Fashion School of Technology, Pazienza worked as Communications and Events Coordinator in North America for the upscale French furniture and home accessory company Roche Bobois, according to an online profile.
