Tom Cotton (R-AR) told President Joe Biden\u2019s\u00a0Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson that he did not find her testimony \u201ccredible\u201d after the judge claimed she did not remember a child pornographer to whom she gave a light sentence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know what I think?\u201d Cotton said. \u201cI think he got caught with child pornography again, and wouldn\u2019t have if he had been in prison for the eight to ten years that the guidelines called for in 2013 when you first sentenced him.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>On Wednesday, during day three of Jackson\u2019s\u00a0confirmation hearing, Cotton mentioned a case involving child pornographer, Wesley Hawkins, who the senator noted, \u201cwas convicted of a child pornography offense in 2013.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sentencing guidelines for this offense called for a sentence of 97 to 121 months, or eight to ten years,\u201d Cotton explained. \u201cThe prosecutors asked for 24 months; you sentenced him to three months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve heard a lot about this case and your three-month sentence of\u00a0Wesley Hawkins,\u201d the senator continued. \u201cBut you got another crack at him in 2019, judge. In 2019, you sent\u00a0Wesley Hawkins back under conditions of confinement with the bureau of prisons for six months, with additional restrictions on his computer usage.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_20310104\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2022\/03\/Tom-Cotton-Getty-e1647923006784.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sen. What did Wesley Hawkins do in 2019, judge?\u201d Cotton asked, to which Jackson stated, \u201cOh, I don\u2019t remember, senator. I have a lot of defendants who I\u2019ve sentenced.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cotton went on to note that Jackson has\u00a0\u201cbeen asked repeatedly over the last two days over the Hawkins case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been in the news \u2014 for days on end,\u201d he said. \u201cThis resentencing happened in 2019, and now you\u2019re saying you don\u2019t have any recollection of it. Let me see if I can refresh your recollection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The senator then took out a large board showing the order Jackson signed on April 17, 2019, adding, \u201cThere\u2019s your signature over there, judge.
