Opponents Sam Brown (19 percent), Bill Hockstedler (1 percent), and\u00a0Sharelle Mendenhall (1 percent) polled substantially behind Laxalt, the Las Vegas Review-Journal\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/news\/politics-and-government\/nevada\/poll-shows-laxalt-lombardo-leading-in-senate-governor-primaries-2549474\/\">reported<\/a>. Eighteen percent were undecided.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The poll was commissioned by the Club for Growth, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clubforgrowth.org\/elections\/pac-endorsed-candidates\/\">endorsed<\/a> Laxalt\u2019s Senate campaign, though the polling is consistent with other polls that have given\u00a0Laxalt a lead in the primary race.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The survey sampled nearly a quarter (22 percent) of respondents who identified as \u201cmoderate or liberal.\u201d Twenty-six percent identified as \u201csomewhat conservative,\u201d and 50 percent identified themselves as \u201cvery conservative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poll also revealed Laxalt\u2019s supporters consist of\u00a035 percent who say they will \u201cdefinitely\u201d vote for him, while 15 percent said they will likely vote for him. Seven percent said they are leaning towards voting for him. In contrast, Brown\u2019s support consisted of 10 percent of definite support, six percent likely support, and 4 percent leaning towards supporting him.<\/p>\n<p>But the Las Vegas Review-Journal cautioned that\u00a0Laxalt\u2019s opposition should not be counted out:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Brown has showed a surprisingly strong ability to raise money in his race against Laxalt, who served from 2014-2018 in the attorney general\u2019s office before mounting an unsuccessful bid against Steve Sisolak for governor.
