Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Wednesday slammed President Joe Biden\u2019s double standard for nominating Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court\u00a0after blocking black, conservative Janice Rogers Brown\u2019s nomination to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia\u00a0Circuit\u00a0in 2003 and 2005.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe filibuster was used for two years to stop her nomination,\u201d Graham said at Jackson\u2019s hearing about\u00a0Brown\u2019s previous nomination that was blocked by then-Sen Biden. \u201cAnd we eventually did a\u00a0Gang\u00a0of\u00a014, of which I was a part, so she could make it through,\u201d\u00a0Graham added, noting Biden\u2019s second two-year attempt to block\u00a0Brown\u2019s confirmation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Graham continued by quoting then-Sen. Biden admitting he tried to block Brown\u2019s nomination. \u201cI can assure you that would be a very, very, very difficult fight and she probably would be filibustered,\u201d Biden said of Brown\u2019s chances of confirmation to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re a person of color, a woman, supported by liberals, it\u2019s pretty easy sailing,\u201d Graham\u00a0said about the duplicitousness of the Democrats. \u201cBut if you\u2019re Miguel Estrada\u2026 Amy Coney Barrett, on and on and on, your life gets turned upside down.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) said of Brown Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The double standard of which Graham accused Democrats comes as voters are unsure of Jackson\u2019s nomination.
