Lindsey Graham (R-SC) accused Jackson of \u201cactivism\u201d in her role as a judge on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia (D.C.).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>In the case, the George Soros-linked Make the Road New York sued former President Trump\u2019s administration for its expanded expedited deportation of illegal aliens who had not resided in the U.S. for more than two years.<\/p>\n<p>The federal statute states that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has \u201csole and unreviewable discretion\u201d to carry out the policy of expedited deportation.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/cases.justia.com\/federal\/district-courts\/district-of-columbia\/dcdce\/1:2019cv02369\/209974\/40\/0.pdf?ts=1569662340\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">issued<\/a>\u00a0a preliminary injunction to halt the policy on the grounds that the administration violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and did not sufficiently weigh the impact that the policy would have on illegal aliens.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThat, to me, is exhibit A of activism,\u201d Graham said. \u201c\u2026\u00a0you\u2019re not convincing me that it is anything other than activism.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor those of us in the law writing business, I don\u2019t know how you could tell a judge more clearly that the administration, the agency in question, has discretion to do certain things within the statute,\u201d Graham said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>So this is an example to me, and you may not agree, where the plain language of the statute was completely wiped out by you. <strong>You reached a conclusion because you disagreed with the Trump administration<\/strong>. [Emphasis added]\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Graham also noted that the\u00a0U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C.
