Kendi.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, teaching \u201cAntiracist Baby\u201d is not the only radical material being pushed on children at the school where Judge Jackson sits on the board.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/resources.finalsite.net\/images\/v1636400955\/gdsorg\/ciq4lvx8wbgfzccyswox\/2021-22GDSHSProfile.pdf\">GDS brags<\/a> about its far-left curriculum in its 2021-22 high school profile \u201ccurricular highlights,\u201d showcasing a course, for instance, about \u201cExploring Reproductive Justice,\u201d and a 9th Grade Seminar \u201cflagship social justice course that serves as a launching point for a GDS High School Education.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The school hosted a speech in September, 2020, by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CEo5n56Jp0a\/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet\">Dr. Dena Simmons<\/a>, called \u201cSelf-Care, Healing, and Equity-Responsive Practices,\u201d which discussed \u201copening the door for our continued anti-racist work.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>A GDS teacher also led a talk at a conference in 2018 called, \u201cSticks and Stones: Exploring the \u2019N-Word\u2019 in our School Communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The elite private school touts on its website that it is a \u201cproud recipient\u201d of the \u201cLeading Edge Award for Equity and Justice,\u201d from the National Association of Independent Schools, which, as Breitbart News has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/09\/exclusive-footage-private-schools-nation-wide-implementing-race-essentialist-curricula-trained-by-black-panther\/\">previously reported<\/a>, is a central purveyor of race-essentialist teaching materials to private schools across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Georgetown Day School, which has over 1000 students, has assets totaling roughly $288 million as of fiscal year 2020, and the headmaster is paid over $1 million yearly salary, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.open990.org\/org\/530204701\/georgetown-day-school-inc\/\">the school\u2019s 990 form<\/a>. Tuition to the school is $40,000-$50,000 per year.<\/p>\n<p>The school offers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gds.org\/academics\/diversity-equity-and-inclusion\/resources-for-parents\">\u201canti-racist resources\u201d<\/a> on its website, including reading materials titled, \u201cGrowing up a Black man in America: Why Our Souls are on Fire,\u201d \u201cYour Black Colleagues May Look Like They\u2019re Okay\u2014Chances Are They\u2019re Not,\u201d \u201cMaintaining Professionalism in the Age of Black Death Is\u2026A Lot,\u201d \u201cWhite Supremacy Culture,\u201d and \u201cThe End of Policing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cresources\u201d list also includes a section for kids, including titles such as, \u201cThe Very Best Code Switch Episodes For Kids,\u201d \u201cPicture Books for Young Activists,\u201d \u201cThe Little Book of Little Activists,\u201d \u201cNot My Idea: A Book About Whiteness,\u201d and \u201cRacial Microaggressions in Everyday Life.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>The school falls in line with a pattern of elite private schools across the country adopting radical leftist curricula and school policy, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/09\/exclusive-undercover-mothers-moms-form-covert-network-to-expose-indoctrination-programs-plaguing-private-schools-across-the-country\/\">previously reported<\/a> by Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<p>The school takes part in the People of Color Conference NAIS teacher training, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gds.org\/academics\/diversity-equity-and-inclusion\/faculty-professional-development\">according to its website<\/a>, which has been previously reported on by Breitbart News as having been launched by Black Panther member Randolph Carter, and includes lectures such as, \u201cCultivating Anti-Racists and Activists in Kindergarten,\u201d \u201cDecolonizing the Minds of Second Graders,\u201d and \u201cThe White People Way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Carter\u2019s wife, Elizabeth Denevi, also worked at Georgetown Day School for ten years where she served as the co-director of diversity and as a senior administrator, according to Denevi\u2019s website, <a href=\"http:\/\/teachingwhilewhite.org\/\">teachingwhilewhite.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Georgetown Day School also currently takes part in another teacher training called \u201cWhite Privilege Conference,\u201d described on the school\u2019s website as \u201ca venue for fostering difficult and critical dialogues around white supremacy, white privilege, diversity, multicultural education and leadership, social &amp; economic justice, and the intersecting systems of privilege and oppression.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>GDS also claims to take part in the National SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Project on Inclusive Curriculum \u201cdevelopment project,\u201d which aims to \u201cdevelop ways of understanding complex intersections between self and systems with regard to race, class, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability\/disability, and other lived cultural experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Judge Jackson was asked by Sen Cruz about whether she agrees with kids at the school she sits on the board of trustees of being taught that \u201cbabies are racist,\u201d she denounced critical theory pedagogy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do not believe that any child should be made to feel as though they are racist, or though they are not valued, or though they are less than, that they are victims, that they are oppressors. I do not believe in any of that,\u201d she insisted during Tuesday\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n<p>However, according to the NAIS website, the first responsibility of a trustee is that he\/she \u201cactively supports and promotes the school\u2019s mission, vision, strategic goals, and policy positions.\u201d NAIS also states that the trustee is \u201cknowledgeable about the school\u2019s mission and goals, including its commitment to equity and justice, and represents them appropriately and accurately within the community,\u201d and \u201cstays fully informed about current operations and issues by attending meetings regularly, coming to meetings well prepared, and participating fully in all matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Emma-Jo Morris is the Politics Editor at Breitbart News.
