Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioning Jackson on whether she agrees with the beliefs in Ibram X. Kendi\u2019s \u201cAntiracist Baby\u201d by stating that there \u201chas not been a single parent\u201d at the Georgetown Day School \u201cthat has come to her to complain\u201d about any book.<\/p>\n<p>After listening to Cruz questioning Jackson, Jones said, \u201c[T]he school that she was a board member of that Sen. Cruz was referring to, you know, Don, that school was founded in 1945 by a group of white parents and black parents who didn\u2019t like segregated laws and they wanted their kids to have a more diverse education. So, they created this school, to allow for school integration ten years before <em>Brown v. Board<\/em>,\u00a0as opposed to so many of the private schools that popped up around this country to promote segregation and to maintain segregation.
