But when this is all said and done, people are going to realize this is a thoughtful administration and we got it right. So, baseball, basketball, businesses, all of those things, they have to wait until that layer comes. And right now, we\u2019re announcing just our 2-4-year-olds,\u201d Adams said at a press conference on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBelieve it or not, a lot of our businesses, they love the mandates,\u201d Adams continued. \u201cWhen I speak to a lot of my businesses, getting people back into the office, that mandate is allowing them to feel safe in the office. For those who feel they would rather the vaccine mandate to be in place. But again, we\u2019re going to do it in layers. And when we feel that it\u2019s the right time to look at that \u2014 if we do so at all \u2014 because the work environment is an important environment. We\u2019re going to make that determination. We\u2019re not there yet.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Nets, Yanks, Mets fans \u2013 based on this from a few mins ago from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NYCMayor?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NYCMayor<\/a>, doesn\u2019t look good for unvaxed to play<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we feel it\u2019s the right time to look at that\u2026if we do so AT ALL\u2026we will make that determination. We are not there yet\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also says many biz like the mandates <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0CuYYwni83\">pic.twitter.com\/0CuYYwni83<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Gunz (@TheGunzShow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheGunzShow\/status\/1506275399357112335?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 22, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has been unable to play in Nets home games for the entirety of the 2021-2022 NBA season, and unvaccinated members of the Yankees and the Mets will not be allowed to play in their home market during the 2022 MLB regular season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Monday, Brooklyn All-Star Kevin Durant said that Irving was \u201cfrustrated\u201d about his inability to play in Brooklyn\u2019s home games. The Nets have 10 games remaining in their regular season, in which Irving will only be allowed to play in three games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHe\u2019s frustrated in not being able to play,\u201d Durant <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/33564417\/kevin-durant-kyrie-irving-frustrated-play-home-brooklyn-nets-title-window-open-season\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>, according to ESPN. \u201cHe figured this stuff would be rolled back by now, we\u2019d be way past this. But it\u2019s the situation we\u2019re in, we got to deal with it, he\u2019s got to deal with it. Trusting that it\u2019ll get figured out there soon. I have no clue what may happen, but I\u2019m just trusting that things will work itself out. But I\u2019m sure he misses playing in front of a home crowd and the home crowd, vice versa, they miss him. So hopefully we get it figured out soon.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Last week, Durant teed off on Adams, calling on the mayor to \u201cfigure this out\u201d when it comes to Irving\u2019s plight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s ridiculous,\u201d Durant <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/33495138\/brooklyn-nets-kevin-durant-scores-53-points-tells-new-york-city-mayor-figure-vaccine-policy\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cI don\u2019t understand it at all. There\u2019s a few people in our arena that\u2019s unvaxxed, right? They lifted all of that in our arena, right? So I don\u2019t get it \u2026 I don\u2019t get it. It just feels like at this point now, somebody\u2019s trying to make a statement or a point to flex their authority. But everybody out here is looking for attention and that\u2019s what I feel like the mayor wants right now, is some attention. But he\u2019ll figure it out soon. He better.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cBut it just didn\u2019t make any sense,\u201d Durant continued. \u201cThere\u2019s unvaxxed people in this building already. We got a guy who can come in the building, I guess, are they fearing our safety? I don\u2019t get it. We\u2019re all confused. Pretty much everybody in the world is confused at this point. Early on in the season people didn\u2019t understand what was going on, but now it just looks stupid. So hopefully, Eric, you got to figure this out.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Brooklyn\u2019s title chances will take a major hit if Irving is only allowed to be a part-time player come playoff time.
