People and accounts across the internet were suppressed for various reasons, including COVID-19 commentary, criticism of President Joe Biden, election-related content, and much more. One reality is clear, censorship algorithms will target anyone who disagrees with established narratives, regardless of their status.<\/p>\n<p>Big Tech technocrats have targeted: former <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/issues\/former-president-donald-trump\">President Donald Trump<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/sen-ron-johnson-3\">members<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/sen-chuck-grassley-r\">Congress<\/a>, media personalities like conservative radio hosts <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/mark-levin-0\">Mark Levin<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/dan-bongino-5\">Dan Bongino<\/a>, popular podcasters like <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/joe-rogan-1\">Joe Rogan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/tim-pool\">Tim Pool<\/a>, journalists like Just the News founder <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/john-solomon-0\">John Solomon<\/a>, and doctors like mRNA vaccine technology innovator <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/dr-robert-malone-1\">Dr. Robert Malone<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Recently, an MRC Free Speech America study found a whopping <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/free-speech\/joseph-vazquez\/2022\/02\/09\/study-censortrack-documents-over-800-cases-big-tech\">808 cases<\/a> of Big Tech companies like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok and Google Ads silencing any opinion they didn\u2019t agree with on the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The worst case of documented COVID-19 censorship came from Facebook. The platform <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/great-barrington-declaration-0\">deleted<\/a> the Great Barrington Declaration\u2019s account page. <a href=\"https:\/\/gbdeclaration.org\/\">Prominent international disease experts<\/a> developed the declaration to oppose harsh COVID-19 lockdowns imposed on citizens by many national governments, including the implementation of measures shown to have \u201clittle to no effect\u201d on COVID-19 mortality, according to a recent Johns Hopkins University<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.krieger.jhu.edu\/iae\/files\/2022\/01\/A-Literature-Review-and-Meta-Analysis-of-the-Effects-of-Lockdowns-on-COVID-19-Mortality.pdf\"> study<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Hopkins study underscored how unjustifiable Facebook\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/censortrack.org\/case\/great-barrington-declaration-0\">deletion of<\/a> the pro-freedom Great Barrington Declaration page was. Removed about a year ago, the declaration was later proved to be accurate. The declaration discussed the pro-freedom viewpoints of those against lockdowns and has garnered over 928,000 signatures in support of its argument: \u201cCurrent lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health.\u201d The signatories include\u00a0over 15,000 medical and public health scientists and over 46,000 medical practitioners.<\/p>\n<p>One action this week displays the extremity of Big Tech\u2019s biased war against free speech.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Facebook also censored <a href=\"https:\/\/heritageaction.com\/\">Heritage Action<\/a>, the advocacy arm of the conservative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/\">Heritage Foundation<\/a>, March 15, 2022, simply for a video quoting Biden\u2019s embarrassing statements on energy policy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Facebook placed an interstitial, or filter, over <a href=\"https:\/\/fb.watch\/bNNsWHKlfz\/\">Heritage Action\u2019s video<\/a>, suppressing the post\u2019s reach. The video showed Biden and his administration explaining how his policies would cause gas prices to rise.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The interstitial labeled the video as \u201cMissing context\u201d and links to a fact-check in hopes of discrediting it. Heritage Action\u2019s video also dared to include an interview showing Energy Secretary <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energy.gov\/person\/jennifer-m-granholm\">Jennifer Granholm<\/a> laughing when asked about Biden\u2019s oil drilling policy. The video then shows a series of clips of Biden proclaiming he will stop domestic drilling on federal land and offshore facilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Conservatives are under attack.<\/em><\/strong><em> Contact your representatives and demand that Big Tech be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency.
