Josh Hawley <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hawley-biden-scotus-nominee-has-a-pattern-of-letting-child-porn-offenders-off-the-hook\">had raised concerns<\/a> last week that Jackson\u2019s record demonstrates that she \u201chas a pattern of letting child porn offenders off the hook for their appalling crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His announcement prompted House Republicans to send a letter Monday to the leaders of the Senate Judiciary Committee calling for a full investigation of Jackson\u2019s past rulings as a judge.<\/p>\n<p>That letter, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/21\/house-republicans-ken-buck-letter-investigation-senate-judiciary-committee-supreme-court-ketanji-brown-jackson-sentences-sex-offenders-child-porn\/\">first obtained by the Daily Caller<\/a>, calls on the committee to specifically look into three child pornography cases from when Jackson was vice-chair of the U.S. sentencing commission.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a mother and a judge who has had to deal with these cases, I was thinking that nothing could be further from the truth,\u201d Jackson told Democratic Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin on Tuesday morning. \u201cThese are some of the most difficult cases that a judge has to deal with because we are talking about pictures of sex abuse of children, we are talking about graphic descriptions that judges have to read and consider when they decide how to sentence in these cases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Durbin: &#8220;Could you tell us what was going through your mind at that point [listening to Josh Hawley]?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ketanji Brown Jackson: &#8220;Thank you, senator. As a mother, and a judge who has had to deal with these cases, I was thinking that nothing could be further from the truth.&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/14kCWYEFIa\">pic.twitter.com\/14kCWYEFIa<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CurtisHouck\/status\/1506260836108709889?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 22, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Jackson shared that when she deals with such cases, it is important to her to make sure that the \u201cchildren\u2019s perspective, the children\u2019s voices are represented in my sentencing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat that means is that for every defendant who comes before me and who suggests as they often do, that they\u2019re just a looker, that these crimes don\u2019t really matter, that they\u2019ve collected these things on the internet, and its fine, I tell them about the victim statements that have come into me as a judge,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tell them about the adults who were former child sex abuse victims who tell me that they will never have a normal adult relationship because of this abuse,\u201d Jackson continued. \u201cI tell them about the ones who say I went into prostitution, I fell into drugs because I was trying to suppress the hurt that was done to me as an infant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Responding to Sen.
