The necessary appointment of a special counsel to investigate its explosive revelations documented by the New York Post is even tardier. <\/p>\n<p>For decades, Hunter Biden leveraged the family name to broker international business deals. In October 2020, the Post published emails from the abandoned hard drive of the Delaware laptop not only <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/10\/15\/flashback-joe-biden-fat-shamed-iowa-voter-when-pressed-on-hunters-business-deals\/\">discrediting<\/a> then-candidate Joe Biden\u2019s repeated claims he never spoke business with his son, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2019\/08\/28\/biden-brother-business-2020-1476815\">or with anyone else<\/a>,\u201d but also that the former vice president stood to make a handsome profit from his son\u2019s corrupt deals. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re a damn liar, man,\u201d candidate Biden said before going on to<a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/10\/15\/flashback-joe-biden-fat-shamed-iowa-voter-when-pressed-on-hunters-business-deals\/\"> fat shame <\/a>an Iowa voter at a town hall for confronting Biden over his son\u2019s lucrative overseas ventures. At the time of the exchange, questions were circulating based on evidence to emerge from Trump\u2019s first impeachment saga about Hunter Biden\u2019s role on the board of the Ukrainian energy company, Burisma. Hunter was raking in upwards of $50,000 a month in <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/11\/27\/hunter-bidens-reported-burisma-payout-was-far-above-comparable-board-compensation\/\">excess compensation<\/a> despite no prior experience in the industry. He landed the gig while his father served as the White House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/barack-obama?source=%2Fjoe-biden-emerges-as-obamas-trusty-sidekick\">point man<\/a> on Ukraine. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all know Trump has been messing around in Ukraine,\u201d the Iowa voter said to Joe Biden. \u201cBut, you on the other hand, sent your son over there. He not only worked for a gas company, but he had no experience in \u2026 You\u2019re selling access to the presidency just like [Trump] is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Their concerns were well-founded at the time, and even more warranted 10 months later. <\/p>\n<p>Less than three weeks from Election Day 2020, The New York Post published a series of emails contradicting candidate Biden\u2019s claims of ignorance of his son\u2019s business operations and showed the family engaged in conflicts of interest while serving in the upper echelons of U.S. government. <\/p>\n<p>Not only did Hunter Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/10\/14\/email-reveals-how-hunter-biden-introduced-ukrainian-biz-man-to-dad\/\">introduce<\/a> his vice president father to a senior Ukrainian business partner in 2015, but emails in 2017 revealed stemming from business across the globe thousands of dollars were supposedly set aside for \u201cthe big guy.\u201d An unnamed source who was on the email discussing \u201cremuneration packages\u201d told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-china-email-source-verifies\">Fox News<\/a> the day after it was published the ambiguous reference was directly to Joe Biden. Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of the Biden\u2019s, went on record a week later to confirm the identity of \u201cthe big guy\u201d as the former vice president slated to receive 10 percent of a cash and equity deal. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHunter Biden called his dad \u2018the Big Guy\u2019 or \u2018my Chairman,\u2019 and frequently referenced asking him for his sign-off or advice on various potential deals that we were discussing,\u201d Bobulinski wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefdrlst.wpengine.com\/2020\/10\/22\/hunter-biden-associate-confirms-joe-biden-stood-to-rake-in-millions-from-chinese-business-leaders\/\">statement<\/a> sent to The Federalist and other outlets. <\/p>\n<p>On Fox News with Tucker Carlson, Bobulinski continued to blow the whistle on Joe Biden\u2019s entanglement in his son\u2019s overseas business ventures, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/10\/27\/biden-family-whistleblower-joe-biden-is-compromised-by-communist-china\/\">asserting<\/a> the Democrat candidate who would go on to be president was \u201ccompromised\u201d by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). <\/p>\n<p>The implications are enormous. Many big questions remain unanswered about President Biden\u2019s personal involvement with his son\u2019s extensive and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/09\/25\/senates-report-on-biden-further-exposes-the-absurdity-of-trumps-impeachment\/\">potentially criminal<\/a> business ventures. <\/p>\n<p>After President Donald Trump was falsely accused based on fabricated intelligence of seeking to undermine American interests as a Russian asset, Democrats landed their own special counsel with unlimited resources that operated for years. The Russiagate saga, amplified by a deep state operation within the FBI, in turn undermined Trump\u2019s first years in the White House and ended with nothing to show.<\/p>\n<p>In Biden\u2019s case, however, credible testimony exists from on-the-record sources and a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Laptop-Hell-Hunter-Secrets-President\/dp\/163758105X\">Laptop From Hell<\/a>,\u201d as described in the title of Post Columnist Miranda Devine book on the subject, to launch a special counsel probe beyond the current DOJ investigation into Hunter Biden\u2019s taxes. As Devine <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/20\/white-house-ignores-its-hunter-problem\/\">outlined<\/a> Sunday, the White House is ignoring poignant questions such as whether Hunter Biden actually divested from Chinese state-owned enterprises. <\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Psaki] told us last year that Hunter was in the process of divesting his 10% share of the Chinese investment firm BHR Partners, which is co-owned by the Bank of China and has $2.4 billion of funds under management. Last November, Hunter\u2019s lawyer told the Times he no longer owns a share of BHR,\u201d Devine wrote. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>But, according to online records of the Chinese business registry Baidu, as of Wednesday, Hunter\u2019s company Skaneateles LLC continues to hold a 10% stake in BHR. Hunter is still named on corporate records as sole governor of Skaneateles, although the company is listed as \u2018revoked\u2019 on the website of the Washington, DC, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. That is because a $300 \u2018reinstatement fee\u2019 has not been paid, the Washington Examiner reported this month.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>With even the New York Times, the bulwark paper of corrupt media, conceding the authenticity of material blowing back the curtain of the Biden family business ventures, it\u2019s past time Attorney General Merrick Garland recognizes the need for an independent investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans have called for one in the past, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/10\/21\/exclusive-gop-rep-ken-buck-re-ups-call-for-doj-special-counsel-investigation-into-hunter-biden\/\">repeatedly<\/a>.
