Trump:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 9th Circuit just issued a final ruling in the Stephanie Clifford (aka Stormy Daniels) frivolous lawsuit case against me brought by her disgraced lawyer, Michael Avenatti, upholding the lower court ruling that she owes me nearly $300,000 in.. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BPDpdkWEAT\">pic.twitter.com\/BPDpdkWEAT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Liz Harrington (@realLizUSA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realLizUSA\/status\/1506058964152340482?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 22, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>A lower federal court judge ordered Daniels to pay Trump roughly $292,000 in attorney\u2019s fees after she unsuccessfully sued the former president for defamation.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2018\/12\/11\/stormy-daniels-order-to-pay-trump-293000-in-legal-fees\/\">reported<\/a> in 2018:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Daniels, whose real\u00a0name is\u00a0Stephanie Clifford, was\u00a0ordered to\u00a0pay\u00a075 percent of the president\u2019s\u00a0legal\u00a0fees\u00a0in connection to the case, according to Trump lawyer Charles Harder. Earlier in December, Harder petitioned U.S. District Judge S. James Otero to make Daniels pay $800,000 in fees and other sanctions. The breakdown of the now-ordered payments is $293,000 for legal fees and $1,000 for sanctions.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump once again denied any sexual relationship with Daniels in his statement. \u201cAs I have stated many times throughout the years, I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I ever have wanted to,\u201d Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/reallizusa\/status\/1506058964152340482?s=21\">said<\/a>. \u201cThe ruling was a total and complete victory and vindication for, and of me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump also called the lawsuit a \u201cpurely political stunt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lawsuit was a purely political stunt that never should have been started, or allowed to happen, and I am pleased that my lawyers were able to bring it to a successful conclusion after the court fully rejected her appeal,\u201d Trump said. \u201cNow all I have to do is wait for all of the money she owes me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cP.S.
