<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mJhVNLqXvY\">https:\/\/t.co\/mJhVNLqXvY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1472616467166162946?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 19, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While this is not the first time fourth doses have been administered in the United Kingdom \u2014 with some severely immunocompromised people having already received extra jabs \u2014 it does represent a significant expansion of the number of British citizens receiving an additional booster.<\/p>\n<p>However, the mass administration of even more shots may yet be on the table, with Javid\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10634889\/Sajid-Javid-says-50s-probably-need-Covid-booster-later-year.html\">hinting<\/a> at the possibility of pushing some people to receive their fifth COVID jab this Autumn.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe [Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation] have said that it\u2019s li\u2013 it\u2019s possible there will be an autumn booster campaign, probably for those who are 50 and over,\u201d Javid said, stuttering slightly when asked about whether additional boosters will be offered. \u201cBut they haven\u2019t yet made a final recommendation on that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Javid is not the first government official to hint at the possibility of a fifth vaccination, however.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with American broadcaster NBC, the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director, Dr Anthony Fauci, noted that it was \u201centirely conceivable\u201d that additional boosters will be needed to fight off COVID.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe may need to boost again.
