Circuit Court and for her to serve on the Supreme Court. Demand Justice previously operated under part of a massive leftist dark money network organized by the Sixteen Thirty Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Demand Justice had already <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/progressives-prep-big-spending-ketanji-215531036.html\">announced<\/a> a $1 million ad campaign in support of Jackson and it plans to spend much more. The group had a projected budget of $7.5 million for 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Demand Justice is one of several leftist dark money groups, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/03\/08\/leftist-dark-money-groups-silent-donor-disclosure-support-election-transparency\/\">documented<\/a> by Breitbart News.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) claimed during the Supreme Court nomination hearings on Monday that the current Supreme Court is built by dark money, even though Whitehouse is a recipient of leftist money.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The present Court is The Court That Dark Money Built. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/02\/25\/democrat-sheldon-whitehouse-biggest-hypocrite-in-politics-on-dark-money\/\">called<\/a> Whitehouse a \u201chypocrite\u201d on the issue of dark money because Democrats typically receive much more in dark money than Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>Many have <a href=\"https:\/\/19thnews.org\/2020\/09\/biden-supreme-court-demand-justice-shortlist\/\">noted<\/a> that even before the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg\u2019s death, Demand Justice was readying a short list for Biden, which included Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>Several leftwing activists have taken <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/01\/06\/liberals-to-breyer-retire-455321\">advantage<\/a> of a possible Democrat majority and urged Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer to retire and put Jackson on the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>After Breyer announced his retirement, Demand Justice claimed credit for his departure from the nation\u2019s highest court:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Headline at a website run by the Democratic dark money group DEMAND JUSTICE, which had waged a pressure campaign urging STEPHEN BREYER to step aside:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Stephen Breyer, Shamed By Your Tweets, Will Retire From Supreme Court&#8221;<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RIqb9BZRqN\">https:\/\/t.co\/RIqb9BZRqN<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/W8aBKG1TgT\">pic.twitter.com\/W8aBKG1TgT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Kenneth P. Vogel (@kenvogel) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kenvogel\/status\/1486804823219519496?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 27, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Demand Justice Executive Director Brian Fallon said in March 2021 that if Jackson were confirmed to the D.C. Circuit Court, she would likely springboard to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIf she is picked for the D.C. Circuit, I\u2019d expect her stay there to be rather brief, because I\u2019d expect her to be the lead candidate for a Supreme Court vacancy in the event that Justice Breyer retires,\u201d Fallon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/biden-poised-announce-first-wave-nominations-reshape-u-s-courts-n1261414\">said<\/a>. \u201cAnd we\u2019d be fully supportive of her in both scenarios.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Demand Justice even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/congress\/senate-confirms-ketanji-brown-jackson-be-judge-powerful-appeals-court-n1270797\">ran<\/a> a six-figure ad campaign to <a href=\"https:\/\/demandjustice.org\/demand-justice-kicks-off-six-figure-ad-campaign-targeted-to-black-audiences-in-support-of-ketanji-brown-jackson\/\">build<\/a> support among black Americans in July 2021.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Demand Justice\u2019s advocacy for Jackson was so <a href=\"https:\/\/www.republicanleader.senate.gov\/newsroom\/research\/far-left-dark-money-group-demand-justice-gets-their-supreme-court-nominee\">loud<\/a> that even Jackson admitted during her lower court nomination hearings that she knew of the group\u2019s ad campaign for her.<\/p>\n<p>The leftist judicial group has strong ties to the Joe Biden White House.<\/p>\n<p>White House press secretary Jen Psaki and Paige Herwig, Biden\u2019s point person on judicial nominees, worked for Demand Justice.<\/p>\n<p>Elie Mystal, who is on the board of Demand Justice, said Jackson has the Supreme Court nomination \u201clocked up\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Breyer will not retire midterm and this leak is coming from somebody in the White House who wants to use it as a test balloon to get rid of Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>The universe where Ketanji Brown Jackson doesn\u2019t have this all but locked up is hard to imagine.
