Josh Hawley (R-MO) said there was a pattern of President Joe Biden\u2019s pick to fill the upcoming vacancy on the Supreme Court Ketanji Brown Jackson of treating sex offenders leniently.<\/p>\n<p>The Missouri Republican said Brown had not addressed the topic and that he and his colleagues would seek answers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWell, what I found, Sean, is a pattern here of treating sex offenders leniently, those who have gone after children,\u201d Hawley said. \u201cAnd I think we just have a basic question to ask, are we going to get a judge here who\u2019s going to protect children or who\u2019s going to protect child predators? It\u2019s a simple question. It\u2019s one I think that every parent in America would like answered, but it\u2019s one that the White House doesn\u2019t want to answer.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAnd so far, Judge Jackson doesn\u2019t want to answer it,\u201d he continued. \u201cTotal radio silence from her. And if you look at her record, what you see is this is someone who has consistently let sex predators, child sex predators, off the hook. For people who have been convicted of child porn offenses, she\u2019s consistently given them lenient sentences, slaps on the wrist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is someone who has raised the question whether sex offender registries are unconstitutional, whether notifying parents when there\u2019s a sex offender in the area is unconstitutional,\u201d Hawley added. \u201cShe suggested all of that. I mean, this is very troubling.
