This comes after a yearly high was seen on Tuesday when 400 arrived on the beaches of England.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>On top of that, an additional 563 boat migrants were successfully prevented by French authorities over the past two days, meaning well over 1,000 attempted to reach the United Kingdom in just two days.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of illegals who have reached the country by boat has already hit 2,923 which, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/nearly-700-migrants-cross-the-channel-in-two-days-w3rjzzzdn\">according<\/a> to <em>The Times<\/em>, is more than double the figure seen during the same time period last year.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the National Crime Agency (NCA) \u2014 Britain\u2019s rough equivalent to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) \u2014 has issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk\/news\/nca-renews-appeal-to-maritime-industry-over-criminal-targeting\">warning<\/a> to merchants who sell dinghies, the common mode of transport used by people-smugglers to ferry the migrants into British waters.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In a press release, the NCA said that maritime business owners should be suspicious of customers looking to purchase small boats in cash, make repeated or bulk purchases, display a lack of concern about the seaworthiness of the vessel, and those who show an eagerness to complete transactions quickly without providing a delivery address.<\/p>\n<p>The law enforcement agency went on to call on business owners to report any unusual purchases of\u00a0untreated plywood boards, PVC tarpaulin sheets, and duct tape, which the NCA claimed are used by people-smugglers to reinforce inflatable boats used to traffick illegal migrants.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs the weather starts to improve, making small boat crossings more likely, we are taking this opportunity to reinforce our appeals to those within the marine and maritime industries to help us stop those involved in organised people smuggling,\u201d said\u00a0NCA Deputy Director Andrea Wilson.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If you thought the Channel crisis had gone away, it hasn\u2019t. The Home Office say 279 people crossed on 9 boats yesterday. <\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eoU4lWCnQA\">pic.twitter.com\/eoU4lWCnQA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nigel Farage (@Nigel_Farage) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Nigel_Farage\/status\/1504372502096752643?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Mocking the announcement from the \u2018British FBI\u2019, Brexit leader Nigel Farage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8AD3WYt5fVs\">said<\/a> on his prime-time TV show on GB News on Wednesday evening:\u00a0\u201cThe trouble is, National Crime Agency, the boats are coming the other way!\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sharing footage from a \u201cbusy day\u201d in Dover \u2014 where most migrants are brought ashore by the British Border Force \u2014 Mr Farage lamented:\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s the same old pattern, it\u2019s going to be about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/02\/25\/90-per-cent-of-illegal-boat-migrants-are-male-home-office-admits\/\">90 per cent<\/a> young men, no documentation or ID at all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will get put up in hotels or wherever at huge cost to the taxpayer, yet the genuine refugees that will be coming from Ukraine will be housed, predominantly, with British families at a cost of the taxpayer that is a few hundred pounds.
