The other, Alex Michael Ramos, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajc.com\/news\/crime--law\/georgia-man-gets-six-years-for-charlottesville-beating\/ETG6StFvbV3Kq2MghoXtbL\/\">asked<\/a> pointedly, \u201cYou call me a f***ing white supremacist? I\u2019m f***ing Spanish. I was raised in the [expletive] ghetto, a**holes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Axios acknowledges that non-white members of the white nationalist movement face a glass ceiling. \u201cThere are limits to how accepted some far-right Latino activists can become in white supremacist and neo-Nazi circles,\u201d the website says.<\/p>\n<p>The article met with instant derision online. Some commentators called its premise \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mattwalshblog\/status\/1502438534816350212\">amazing<\/a>\u201d or \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/rmconservative\/status\/1502378272973275148\">hilarious<\/a>.\u201dConservative writer <a href=\"https:\/\/substack.com\/profile\/2948793-ryan-james-girdusky\">Ryan James Girdusky<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ryangirdusky\/status\/1502357436518350852\">tweeted<\/a>, \u201cDamn, even white nationalists have diversity outreach.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Damn, even white nationalists have diversity outreach <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mNICD4xY0N\">https:\/\/t.co\/mNICD4xY0N<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ryan James Girdusky (@RyanGirdusky) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RyanGirdusky\/status\/1502357436518350852?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 11, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Others related the sudden attempt to reposition Hispanics as incipient neo-Nazis on polls that show portions of the Latino electorate inching toward the Republican Party. \u201cDear people of color, minorities and immigrants\u2026 if you do not bow at the altar of the woke [m]edia &#038; the [D]emocrat [P]arty\u2026.. you are now labeled a \u2018white nationalist,\u2019\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mgonidakis\/status\/1502499441391153161\">wrote<\/a> Michael Gonidakis, president of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohiolife.org\/\">Ohio Right to Life<\/a>. \u201cNow that Latinos are aligning with the GOP, Latinos are the new \u2018white nationalists,\u2019\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonmattera\/status\/1502409839196082181\">wrote<\/a> conservative activist Jason Mattera. <a href=\"https:\/\/hotair.com\/\">HotAir.com<\/a> writer Jazz Shaw <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JazzShaw\/status\/1502372019589074946\">tweeted<\/a>, \u201cTranslation: The rise of Hispanic voters who don\u2019t vote for Democrats who have ignored them and taken their votes for granted.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Dear people of color, minorities and immigrants\u2026 if you do not bow at the altar of the woke Media &#038; the democrat party\u2026.. you are now labeled a \u201cwhite nationalist\u201d\u2026. The movement began in earnest after the 2020 presidential election, when exit polls showed that President Donald Trump\u2019s share of the Hispanic vote increased by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/walsh-trump-massively-exceeded-expectations-with-minority-voters-heres-how-he-did-it\">3%<\/a>\u00a0over 2016. Last January, New York University professor Cristina Beltr\u00e1n\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2021\/01\/15\/understand-trumps-support-we-must-think-terms-multiracial-whiteness\/\">wrote<\/a>\u00a0in The Washington Post that Hispanics had become the newest layer of \u201cmultiracial Whiteness.\u201d A week later, Beltr\u00e1n <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/01\/24\/960060957\/understanding-multiracial-whiteness-and-trump-supporters\">expounded<\/a>\u00a0on taxpayer-funded National Public Radio that \u201cAmericans have often learned how to create their own sense of belonging through violence and through the exclusion of certain groups and populations.\u201d NPR interviewer Lulu Garcia-Navarro summarized Beltr\u00e1n\u2019s theory as teaching: \u201cPeople of other races and ethnicities want to benefit from white privilege by supporting it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beltr\u00e1n wrote in the Post that white supremacy actually opposes categorizing people based on racial identity. \u201cThe politics of multiracial whiteness reinforces their desired approach to colorblind individualism,\u201d she wrote. Minorities who have been taken in by this crafty form of whiteness \u201cwant to be understood as simply Americans outside of those kinds of identity categories,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/01\/24\/960060957\/understanding-multiracial-whiteness-and-trump-supporters\">warned<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Nine months later, CNN\u2019s website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/09\/04\/us\/census-browning-of-america-myth-blake\/index.html\">posted an article<\/a>\u00a0by CNN Enterprise writer\/producer John Blake titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/cnn-american-racism-will-never-disappear-it-will-become-white-supremacy-with-a-tan\">White supremacy, with a tan<\/a>,\u201d which argued that the ideology of \u201cwhite supremacy\u201d is \u201celastic\u201d enough to include people of other ethnic backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>Last June, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2021-08-20\/recall-candidate-larry-elder-is-a-threat-to-black-californians\">headline<\/a> in the Los Angeles Times \u201cwarned\u201d that conservative talk show host and California GOP gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder was \u201cthe black face of white supremacy.\u201d Columnist Erika D. Smith said Elder\u2019s decision to run against Democrat Gavin Newsom felt like \u201can insult to [b]lackness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In November, the left-of-center polling website FiveThirtyEight.com followed up the outcomes of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/how-the-virginia-governors-race-was-won\">2021 Virginia elections<\/a>, which swept Lieutenant Governor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/winsome-sears-calls-out-joy-reid-over-msnbc-analysts-rant\">Winsome Sears<\/a> into office, with a story <a href=\"https:\/\/fivethirtyeight.com\/features\/why-racist-white-voters-often-favor-black-republicans\/\">originally titled<\/a> \u201cWhy Racist White Voters Often Favor Black Republicans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sears, the first black woman elected to a statewide office in Virginia history, called on MSNBC host Joy Reid to invite her on the show for a debate after Michael Eric Dyson accused her of spewing \u201cwhite supremacy by ventriloquist effect.\u201d Reid has yet to have Sears on her show.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
