The claim stems from a 2016 article that cites vague, unnamed \u201csources.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Rothschild family is considered to be one of the most well-known European banking dynasties and has exerted influence in economic and geopolitical affairs for 200 years, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/Rothschild-family\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Britannica.<\/a> The family, which is Jewish, has been the target of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories for years, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/retropolis\/wp\/2018\/03\/19\/the-rothschilds-a-pamphlet-by-satan-and-conspiracy-theories-tied-to-a-battle-200-years-ago\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Washington Post<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Instagram <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/Hio1Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">post<\/a> appears to show a screengrab of an article with a headline that reads, \u201cPutin Has Banned Rothschild And His New World Order Banking Cartel Family From Entering Russian Territory.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/01\/28\/fact-check-klaus-schwab-mother-rothschild\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/01\/28\/fact-check-klaus-schwab-mother-rothschild\/&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1647550062804000&#038;usg=AOvVaw2-kb7aR3qCnWbYsqjVqtMj\">(RELATED: Is Klaus Schwab Related To The\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Rothschild<\/span>\u00a0Family?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence to support this claim. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rothschildandco.com\/en\/about-us\/our-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rothschild &#038; Co.<\/a>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rothschildandco.com\/en\/about-us\/our-story\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rothschild-owned<\/a> investment bank, has global advisory offices in numerous cities across the globe, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rothschildandco.com\/en\/global-advisory\/global-scale\/?page=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moscow<\/a>, according to its website. There is no indication the bank\u2019s Moscow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/u\/0\/viewer?msa=0&#038;mid=1WsvoE97qDej_DKnJJ0epKemYG9c&#038;ll=55.75484880000001%2C37.60893620000002&#038;z=17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">office<\/a> has closed. No mention of Putin\u2019s alleged ban on the family is mentioned in the Rothschild &#038; Co. press release <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rothschildandco.com\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">archive<\/a>. The article fails to provide any concrete evidence to back up the claim, vaguely citing unnamed \u201csources.\u201d There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Russia+rothschilds+2016&#038;oq=Russia+rothschilds+2016&#038;aqs=chrome..69i57.3812j0j1&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no credible reports<\/a> suggesting any such action occurred in 2016.
